Banned want to challenge it but need help.

Hey everyone, so to start off let me say a little about myself. I've been playing the game since season two and I started playing competitively around that time as well, earning either platinum or gold each season since. Now I play a decent amount until recently when I was banned over MMRboosting, something I have never done.

As with almost any game, riot does allow you to challenge the ruling, okay cool I'm ready to challenge whatever accusations that they have against me. The problem is they won't let me see what evidence is being used against me to show that I am in fact MMRboosting, because it would "compromise their investigation methods". Now i don't have a law degree but, I'm pretty sure in order for me to prove my innocence i would have to in fact know what they are using against me to claim that I am in fact breaking the rules and MMRboosting.

If its someone logging into my account and playing then my account has been compromised and riot has let this go by without doing anything to protect it, meaning that my credit card information is perfectly at risk and they aren't concerned with it being stolen. If they think I boosted someone don't you think I would be a higher ELO then stuck in plat 5? I have over like 500 games played at low plat levels. If i was paying to be boosted I would go to be boosted to an actual tier that isn't any where nearly as troll as plat 5 like diamond 2 or something but instead I'm stuck in what I can only imagine is described in Dante's inferno as one of the worst levels of hell. I don't have any insane win rates on champions, I'm a pretty overall average player being accused of something I didn't do.

So I ask now since I have no clue what is actually being used to accuse me of MMRboosting, how am I expected to present evidence that I have not MMRboosted?

TL;DR Got banned, went to challenge, wont be provided any evidence to challenge but am more then welcome to try anyways. What do?

If I were you I'd try to get ahold of a Red in a support ticket. Try to talk to them on a personal level but it may take a few back and forths to actually get someone to really read what you're saying.

im talking to a support staff memeber now, the problem is hes telling me i can provide evidence that i didnt boost, i have no idea what im supposed to provide as evidence though, so im seeing if someone on here may have had the same experience or any idea as to what i can do to help my situation out. As ive said ive been a plat/gold player my whole time playing this game so im confused where they get the idea that ive boosted.

start with basics, ask if they suspect you boosting another account or if they suspect that someone boosted your account.

If they think you're boosting another account ask if they have two accounts coming from the same ip address or not

if they think someone else boosted yours ask if they have your account being played at two different ip addresses. That should be a good start

Okay will do, thank you it takes like almost 15 hours for a reply so im trying to get as many suggestions in at once, if it is two different IP's what can i do aobut it?

if it's two different ip's that means you need to justify where else it could be being used. are you using a pc and a laptop or are you letting your gf use it in another state. The problem is that you need to prove that you haven't LET someone else use it. If you have someone else in the house using your pc to play their account you need to be able to give justification as to why they were on your comp.

If you haven't LET someone else use the account and its two different ip's you need to let them know that you think that there was a security breech and that someone used your account without authorization. This is hard because a lot of the evidence is just saying what happened but you need to be able to state what happened with your account and hope that someone can be on your side.

I have found that as long as you remain professional with the RIOT staff they will hear what you have to say. DO NOT get irritated with them and do not flame them. It may take them a while to get your problem fixed but work with them and be patient or they will just write you off and let you deal with starting a new account.

HAS someone logged into your account and played games?

Just as a friendly tip, nobody would actually do this unless you let them, or they were actually stealing stuff. It's like someone breaking into your house and vacuuming the floor without taking anything.

That's the thing i dont know if anyone has logged into my account and played games, i work and go to school so checking my match history isnt my first priority and im not going to lie its not as if i can remeber every single game ive played so i get home from work and log on to play, and yeah it would be weird if someone did just log onto my account to play ranked. Thats why im asking what happened so i can provide evidence that i didnt willingly let someone log in and play, but i cant be provided with any outside information other then someone has logged into my account and played ranked on it. I dont know when, or where it happened.

How would you not notice that your ranked standing/LP was increasing unless you allowed someone to play these ranked games for you?

i literally dont check what ranked i am. i just play ranked because its fun for me to play competitively if i wanted to boost i would want something higher then gold 1/plat 5. if im not good enough to get out of that elo then thats fine by me

That sucks bro :( ive seen a post about a diamond guy whos smurf got perma banned for scripting. He was playing at a level with people under level 30 and he was dodging every skillshot by sidestepping (whih any half decent player can do just fine) but the bronze noobs thought there was no explanation for him dodging so well that they reported him. Insta perma ban. That account has been unbanned (one of the only times an account has been unpermabanned) but the fact remains that riots ban system is rly flawed. They cant watch the game? So somebody can be really nice in chat while feeding intentionally and the rioters don't know what to believe.

Yeah i'm just confused on what they expect me to actually be able to do when im not sure what evidence i need to present to them to show my innocence.
