Toxic AF Nunu on the other team, I reported and ended up with a 14 Day ban. What fresh hell is this.

Alright, settle down folks, I'm gonna to tell you a story.

I log in to a game, great communication in lobby, pleasant team, pick Leona and away we go. Turn up to bot lane, find a Tristana, but no Nunu support. Around 1:45, enemy Jax says 'report Nunu'. Alarm bells start ringing. Our team inquires, and it turns out Nunu had stolen red buff, and was essentially running amok through the lanes, stealing farm and feeding. We reply with sympathy to the team. Nunu says he was feeding because everyone in the lobby had refused to 'say his name'. Nunu's name contains, what I later found out was a racial slur. It starts with c and rhymes with hoon. I was not familiar with this slur, so say his name back to him, which for obvious reasons I can't publish here. But I figured, hey, if Riot lets him create an account with this name then it can't be anything bad?

The game goes on. Our team all express our sympathy, we say we will definitely report the 'Nunu Not' as we had taken to calling him, for his bot like behavior. We finish up, with the enemy team surrendering.

Then, my friends, then it gets interesting. We are chatting in post game lobby about what a d-bag Nunu is, how much he is ruining the game etc. Then Nunu says

'Leo, for information about how to get your ban lifted, visit this Discord link'.

I laugh it off, report the toxic dude, and exit game lobby.

Not two minutes later, I get a notifications saying my account has been banned for 14 days. Ok.... a mistake, surely. I search on Google, how do I appeal a ban.

"Suspensions due to the Instant Feedback System will not be lifted or shortened under any circumstance."

But what if I did NOTHING wrong, and I was mysteriously banned, because the other player on the team was toxic enough for me to report him.

Tl;dr

Reported a Nunu for being toxic, wound up with a 14 day suspension for being a team player.
