*CHRONIC* AFKers SHOULD BE BANNED

People who go afk in matches get a low priority que, which is a fit punishment....if they only have done it once or twice. But when you have people like Removed, who go afk in more than 50% of their games, they shouldn't get low priority anymore. There needs to be harsher punishments for these type of chronic players. They don't just make people waste time losing a norms, they make people lose hard earned LP. Thoughts everyone?

Name shaming much?

You mean they aren't eventually banned?

Remove the player name. You're not allowed to do that on the forums.

No they really don't get banned. They get put in X amount of low priority ques, and that's the most they get punished. That's an understandable punishment, don't get me wrong, but when you do it chronically, you should start getting much more meaningful punishments.

Somehow, I doubt that Riot allows you to AFK in a game and never does anything about it other than put you in a low priority queue. If you AFK enough, I'm sure they get banned just like anyone else. Even Blizzard bans AFKers eventually.

I know someone, who apparently can't be named, that has been put into low priority ques ATLEAST 10 times due to afking in games. The last time, it was still only 5 games of 20 minute ques.

You have to understand the mentality of some of these folks.

I read a post recently where someone said their computer frequently overheats, but since they're mostly playing bot games and it's only happened once of seven PvP games it's not a big deal.

It's a big deal to me, because I dislike having my time wasted. Doesn't matter if I'm playing League or reorganizing my sock drawer - the point is it's MY time, not yours. The penalties for AFK in game, within reason, cannot be set high enough.

Hell, make it simple math. Nine other players * twenty minutes = 180 minutes until you can queue again. Maybe, MAYBE give them one freebie a week to account for rare disconnects - because if disconnects are common for someone, they shouldn't be playing team games.

(Obvious rant is obvious, I know)

My "friend" is legit on another low priority RIGHT NOW due to more afks. This is absolutely stupid to give someone the same punishment over and over, it's obviously not changing his behavior.
