Hey riot can players not be punished for crashes that are within the game??

Im writing this while waiting for my low priority queue that i was rewarded after a set of multiple crashes happened while i tried to enter a game. First was the black screen that kept me from entering the queue. The second a direct x problem and the third a bug splat. Just curious if any other people are experiencing this! Thanks and btw i just waited an hour to redownload the client becuase of the Direct x issue.

It's a user problem, not Riot's. Unless their server goes down or the client is bugged, it is always the user's fault.

This might be a better question for Help & Support rather than PB&M, because it seems to me that you're going more for the technical issue approach rather than looking for info on behavior/LeaverBuster. That being said, to answer the question in your title, that's not likely to be a concession they make; most crashes nowadays are due to a hardware or software issue rather than the game itself (yes, it does happen), and the crashes that are on Riot's end are likely uncommon enough that they barely affect account status.

TL;DR, the vast majority of connection problems are on the user's end, not Riot's. It's up to the user to resolve said problems, which is why LeaverBuster includes them in how it runs.

The only way to somewhat prevent yourself from being reported and stuff is to play with a full party. They might have a heart and not report you but usually one will consider it. If it's a party you're with everyday on teamspeak with, chances are none of them will report you.

As for losing LP and stuff after the match, that's your fault, and it wouldn't be right if you didn't get punished for losing/crashing and the other people on your team did. People could troll and leave all the time then.
