People refusing to surrender a lost game

i feel if there is no way to come back form a game lets say enemy team is 30 kills ahead or we just have a toxic player that refuses to cooperate, and i pop up an ff and it gets declined and the game will go nowhere but waste everyones time i should have full right to sit in fountain waiting for the enemy team to end. just because my team thinks they are the chosen ones and can come back from any game doesnt mean i have to sacrifice my kda just to lose anyway. am i wrong for this?

Yes, you're wrong for assuming that the only reason not to surrender is because you think you can win.

Agreed. There is always the "having fun" argument but I recognize that's subjective. The very best reason to stick out a "lost game" is because it allows one to practice fighting a fed enemy. Knowing how to fight them when they're very fed, even if that really only means slowing them down, provides insight into how to fight them when they're only a little bit fed. That knowledge will help you and your teammates avoid such lopsided games in the future. Other things you might learn from playing a lost game: how to manage your own frustration so you don't tilt, how to encourage the morale of a discouraged team, how the winning team does or does not seize opportunities from a position of advantage.

Yes, you are. When you accept that match in queue you should know the consequences and know that you might have to sit through a long painfull game. Every time the new patch is there and you click on accept, you accept the rules that are set up by Riot, you should live by them. If you can't do that I suggest you find another game.

well i would love to find another game. but 2k+ bucks into a completely different game means it isnt worth it to leave this one. just waiting for a season 2 private server i guess. and nowhere in the rules does it say i cant give up on a lost game

You are allowed to surrender a lost game, or when it's before 20 minutes, open mid. But only when enough teammates agree. If the surrender vote fails and a part of your team still wants to continue the game, you are obligated to keep playing. Chilling in the fountain and doing nothing is equal to "Leaving the game/AFK", not defending base while you can is equal to "Refusing to communicate with your teammates". These are/were all reportable reasons, why? Because the rules say so. And you accepted those rules, giving up on a lost game is still illegal, when two persons still want to play you have to. You think that is unfair? Well just don't accept the rules next patch. Picking up another game doesn't mean you have to spend the same amount of money you spent on this game, it's not pay-to-win. When you go play something like Dota, your League investment doesn't disappear, it's still there. But whatever, just don't leave games/intentionally lose.

This is a team game, and surrender votes are just that: Votes. You can't just go afk because you feel like in your case the rules shouldn't apply, or that your personal opinion on things overrides the opinions on others.

k so instead of afking. if im split pushing and the enemy is pushing to nexus there is nothing in the rules saying i have to port and stop them

Just afk and do something else and just to kill a minion every 3 minutes so you don't disconnect. Nothing you can do

Well if your teammates dont wanna surrender, instead of bitching and crying about your life in fountain, maybe you should focus on improving your farm, your warding, try some different build and see how it works.

Who cares about the k/d/a in an objective based game. A 3/7/10 win is a win, a 17/3/5 lose is a lose. If you care that much about KDA, go play Call of Duty where that shit's praised.
