You guys tell me, am I way out of line with this chat log?

I feel cheated for getting banned for this. I don't think it makes sense, and I think that it's absolutely ridiculous. Could someone potentially feel offended for being talked down to over a game? Yes. Do they deserve it? Most of the time... yes they do. Either way, how could I anticipate getting banned for this? I mean, am I suppose to not take the game seriously? Am I suppose to play and not care if I win or lose. Should I be an emotionless robot? Should I treat my teammates like they are a 5 year old kid trying to learn how to ride a bike? I personally don't think so. I think that It should be a competitive environment when it's ranked play, and when you make mistakes, people should call you out on it. I have never in my life played a sport, worked on a project, or done anything that was meant to be taken seriously without there being some banter, trash talk, or criticism. Apparently League of Legends isn't a competitive game. It's not meant to be taken seriously. It is a safe space for children to get together and mess around. With people getting banned for stuff like this, it belongs next to hello kitty island adventure on the shelf at the store.

 So here I am, with a permanent ban. While the other people that said pretty much the same things to me, are not banned. Why on earth would I report a player for typing these things? I can't imagine what life would be like if when someone talked to me like this I felt the need to run off abd report them to someone. It must be rough and I have empathy for people that have mental issues or are emotionally unstable but seriously... come on.

That's not your call to make. No matter how hard some people deserve to be flamed, it isn't an excuse FOR flaming.

You don't have to be emotionless. You can still be positive, and you can still have tactical disagreements with your team. If you come to the point of having to flame others because you are so passionate about the game, then yes: You shouldn't take the game as seriously.

Yeah, I also don't agree Riot should cater to children who can't show decent behaviour towards other players.

I think that It should be a competitive environment when it's ranked play, and when you make mistakes, people should call you out on it.

Then play a game where you can do that. What you think doesn't really matter. Most people don't like the asshat that keeps blaming others and is constantly pointing out others mistakes.

That's some really friendly banter, constructive critisism. Also trash talk is meant to be towards your enemies, not teammates. And never at the point of trying to hurt someone, only to the point of 'nice flash' when they fail a flash, or 'ty for leash', when you steal a drake.

Maybe you should have read the 14-day reform card, that told you that the next punishment would be a permanent ban.

And you also don't have any idea of knowing what others punishments are, nor their punishment history.

If they only said 'pretty much the same things' as you, then they might not even get a chat-restricition depending on their punishment history. If they're positive all their games, and this one was the exception, then the system is forgiving.

But this ISN'T just an exception for you. The system targets consistency.

I'd also report you. You're intentionally, insanely annoying to play with. I can deal with people being bad or making lots of mistakes. They don't ruin a game intentionally

The comments are interesting. I feel that I can easily put myself in the shoes of people that play the game and are thrown off and bothered by the chat box enough that it ruins the experience of sitting down to enjoy a game. I do want to say this though. I don't think my account should be restored. Riot, and the community, for whatever reason, decide that this is the way it should be. So have it your way. I respect that. You can be the way you want to be, and I'm okay with it. But I won't ever agree with it. I will continue to believe that the chat should be an open conduit. You should be able to say whatever you want outside of threats or blatant hate speech. I believe that if someone tells me that I am messed up, or flames me for whatever reason, it provides self awareness to me. Or it's at least a good example of what not to be like. I have spread more positivity, and gotten more people to stop flaming and focus on the game, then I have flamed. I would bet money on it. Whenever someone flames me, I watch my demos to see if my play was bad or if they were just ranting in game. Every time. But go ahead and have a system that allows people that are probably generally more toxic than I am to cast a vote for my account to be banned. Seems like a good system. I think there is a reason that a court would not allow a person that is an animal rights activist to be on jury in a case involving a pit bull biting someone.

So int my game, talk shit to me, auto lock off role players, whine about being autofilled, give up, buy completely wrong items and tilt when I suggest otherwise, literally do nothing to have any impact on the game other than feeding the other team. And then do what everyone thinks is the correct next step of action and vote for my account to be banned when I call you out on it. Go through life under a blanket. Hope it works out for you.

Yea I recently got banned for calling Heimerdinger the N word. I dont think a 14 day ban for me is justified maybe a chat ban considering I havnt been playing to break any rules in 2 years but I'd rather see the N word 10 million times then play with someone who just insults their team mates.

Definitely deserving of a ban, but pretty obvious you're not legitimately toxic, (or at least not on a regular basis) just frustrated. It happens to the best of us [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
