how come i get reported and banned TWICE for telling teammates to report our afk players?

In 2 weeks i have received reports to my account for telling the other people on my team to report the person who was afk for trolling sitting in fountain during a ranked game, and i end up getting reported by all of them since they were queued together and now my account has been banned. Is there any way out of this? And i don't want to hear the people complain oh you must have done something toxic or used inappropriate language, no i did not. In my reason for being banned all it said was toxic behavior there was no indication of foul language or going against the summoners code. Therefor i find this completely unreasonable and i would like to have a conversation with someone who works at riot about why my account out of all others is reported. If you read this thank you for taking the time to do so, I'm sure somewhere along the lines some of you will think I'm in the wrong but remember how you would feel and the things you would say if you were ranking and someone decides to troll for not getting the champ or role they wanted? Unfair right? just wish the system of punishing players was more reasonable then people spamming troll reports and riot slamming the ban hammer.

No point. 1 report is all it takes to flag a game. Plus afk is handled by the leaverbuster system.

i still don't see how this is ban worthy? chat restriction i guess but if I'm not being rude about it and just simply asking to report the player it can't be that bad, especially when I've seen people give death threats

Have you been punished in the past? If this is your first offense you should have gotten just a Chat Restriction, but if you already gotten that, or if what you said in chat was severe it can jump punishment.

i got suspended 2 weeks ago for the same exact thing, someone going afk in ranked its a combination of both. it seems no matter if you actually are toxic or if you're just trying to get someone punished for them punishing you in game it doesn't make a difference

so you already got suspended 2 weeks ago for the same thing and you did it again. You didn't learn your lesson, repeated the same offense, and now come to boards to complain that you got punished again?

Anyway, I clicked this thread because the only time I ever ask for reports is when one of my teammates is afk. Never, ever in another circumstance.

Nope, because that is not how reports work. You should be reporting for what you see as someone breaking the rules. You dont need to tell other people (especially on your team or to the enemy team) to report an AFK. Its obvious when someone is AFK and people should have the common sense to report when it does happen, so why do you need to state the obvious.

Then there is the matter if you are lying. People lie in this game (as they do in real life) Ive seen a ton of people while playing this game lie that someone is afk when they are in lane, or waiting on X-amount of gold to get an item. it causes an unwanted negative environment and you are basically calling for a Witch-hunt/mob to get someone out when you can just do the right thing and just report them after the game since only one report is needed to trigger a review on someones account!

no. asking for people to report someone is viewed as harassment by the tribunal. if there is an afk, the enemy team more than likely notices it and will report the person after game without being asked.

Even if if Leaverbuster wasn't enough to catch them, only one report is needed to trigger a review of the game.

Asking for reports is just harassment; it is entirely pointless.

No i just state that i will report them or some times not even state it jsut report them you dont tell other players how they should react to other players yet this is the same community that is not even personally but generally insulting you get banned too.

No it's not. Like 50% of my games people say to report someone else, those people who ask to report someone never get banned.

asking for reports is a mild form of harassment and takes alot of games to get punished.

Also, you'll never know if they got punished unless your game was the game that punished them.

It's not harassment if it's warranted, so many thousands of people would be banned if what you said was true.

To be fair they would have needed to be reported as well. More often than not the person asking for reports isn't the one getting reported at the end of the game. But it's still considered harassment since only one report is needed to get an account reviewed. Also that doesn't mean it's the only thing one can be punished for. Usually when people ask for reports they are also toxic in chat. So it just adds to the problem!

a person doesnt review it. a computer program does. and in this scenario it would see that both people are being toxic, since it is considered harrasment and abusive to ask for reports.

No if it gets enough reports people definitely review it, and if you were familiar with the tribunal system you'd know people specifically view what happens in a match to decide if they should get banned.

People do get punished for it. We see them here and there on PB&M. Which is why we tell you it is punishable.

Now you probably won't get to see if they were punished as you'll only get a punishment notification if the game you reported them in was that game that punished them, and not if it was building towards the case.

Granted the visibility on the system isn't the greatest, and Riot is working on improving the behavioral system's visibility , but we won't get to see it until after the new client is up and running smoothly.

Nope, they only get punished if they ABUSE it, not if they do it constructively. Most people rush to leave a match as soon as they can, forgetting that the report system exists entirely. So rationally, it makes nothing but completely sense to remind people to report a troll so that the community doesn't suffer the presence of that troll in the future.

I don't need to believe anything, the stats show it themselves. People don't get punished for just asking to report someone who was actually trolling, it has to be more severe or at the very least multiple reports.

Alright, if you want to re-verify my measurements, look me up on lolsummoner info, make me a cash offer to gather my chat dialogue data so you can look through all the chat dialogues and then compare which people are banned vs all the players who I've every played games with who have ever suggested reporting someone. I can say from my own experience that I have empirically not seen anyone get banned for reporting someone else. I got 2000-3000 games so you got quite a bit of work to do. Not only that, but people who I've duoed with continuously have not gotten banned for suggesting reporting someone (and I've had many duo partners) so and I myself have never gotten in trouble for doing so either. Like I said, you only get in trouble if you abuse it, not if you do it to help the community.

Asking people to report someone is considered harassment. It only takes one report to flag the game. 9 reports in one game is considered 1 game you were reported in, not 9 reports.

Also, you don't know that other people don't get punished for their toxicity, you just don't think it does because you don't feel the impact of it.

The punishments work in tiers, things that can get you chat restrictions can get you banned too if you keep doing it. The only things that skip you tiers are things like extreme racism.

You get a 10 game chat restriction, a 25 game chat restriction, a 14 day suspension, then a permenant ban.

If you still want a riot response you should make a support ticket as that is the only guaranteed way to get one.

any help would be appreciated because I'm tired of this happening this is about the second account i have had banned due to the same issue one a few months back and now again after i took a break from league.

Seeing how you refuse to post your chatlogs says otherwise. If you were ban for toxic behavior acting showing your logs would help your case if what you are saying is true!
