Every game that has ever been connected to the internet has always had a particular element to it. The "Trash talk"..

20 and 30 + yr old queuing with minors 10-16 yr old. Its just not OK. We grew up in different times then them. The youth and us (older gamers)

I have a hard time understanding if you think that is OK RIOT?

FREEDOM OF SPEECH is a right in AMERICA. Being a huge part of the NA SERVER.

A Mature league with all holds bar swearing and trash talk allowed. Sort of like the PBE. But a separate no the less for people like the famous DUNKEY to come back and have fun and play the video game without worries. Joy brought back to the game.

This is my dream.

I'm 27, and I'd rather get paired with a standard 16-year-old than somebody ignorantly ranting about "freedom of speech".

You may have grown up in different times, but you both live in the same day and age and play the same game. There's a phrase that really has to be used here; "get with the times". You're all held to the same standards regardless of if you grew up during the times of rampant racism or the era of touch-screen devices.

Besides, a difference of 5-15 years isn't a huge gap in terms of maturity.

Freedom of Speech only applies if the government is trying to censor you outside of reason. Riot Games is not a part of the government, and therefor freedom of speech does not apply to them deciding to punish you for your abuse of the chat.

The only thing notable about the NA server is that it plays host to a large North-American playerbase. It has no special rules that are separate from any other server, as far as I know.

In other words, a Prisoner's Island. Riot's already stated very clearly that they're wholly opposed to the idea of a Prisoner's Island. Also, I think you mean "no holds barred", not "all holds barred".

All said, if you want to flame and trash talk and be an asshole without repercussion - League of Legends isn't the game for you.

Trash talk is perfectly acceptable. Enemy burns flash stupidly? "wow nice flash morgana". You get away with one health or after a level up? "lol maybe next time, cya".

There's a big difference between trash talk and flaming.

I guess I am an "older gamer" as well. First game was PacMan on a Commodore VC20 1982. On a tape (that were that magnetic type - some may remember them or seen them in a museum).

Look around at all the games from MOBA's to MMORPG's on the PC. Some say mmorpgs' are dying. I believe this is true. (stats prove) I think the same trend will follow with MOBA's specifically League of Legends.

Look at League it has done what all failing MMORPGS did.. (made lvling harder, made it pay to win, had to many people so they add restrictions to chat, summoner spells etc. etc.) (to name a few)

So you see what will happen is people will make OT's (an exact copy) of the same game or just make a game without restrictions in the chat.

Chat restrictions now put in place making them no longer fun for so many reasons. Some people now cannot communicate, or they cannot enjoy telling that Draven that he is terrible (in a lot more words) or he might report and cry and off him self.)

However I am happy they added mic for party games. This brings some of the joy back.

Anyway this is a worthless argument, again just a dream of mine...

You would fit in the normal League with all the restrictions. You obviously cant take a "flaming" or cant dish it out.

I however find it fun.

I obey the League rules now because there is no Enter at your own risk 18+ League yet.
