Leaverbuster Penalty

Crappedmyself··1 votes·330 views

SO I dc'd today because they are in the process of redoing my internet box behind my house. I actually re-logged, rejoined, and we won the game. After that I decided to do my first placement match on this account and we get a troll on our team. SO we decided to open mid and let the enemy team win. After the game was over I got a leaverbuster penalty and now must wait 20 minutes to play a game. What kind of third rate Illogical horsesh**t is this? I get penalized because we get a troll bot lane vel'koz that teleports and feeds his lane? The trolls win today. Congrats Riot for being on the trolls side. He not only successfully ruined our game he also gave us a leaverbuster penalty while saying reporting won't do sh*t. What a wonderful gaming experience.

Leavebuster is unbiased. It forgives rare leaves/afk's. But in reality, it will not be able to tell why you were afk since there's no way to be sure you didn't just disconnect your internet yourself.

But if your leaving/afk has become a pattern and a problem, it's going to slap you with a punishment. So yeah, probably shouldn't have opened mid and idled in base.

And that vel'koz probably told you reporting doesn't do anything to try to deter you from reporting him.

You are missing the point. HE benefited from the system and I got punished. Yes my internet is messed up right now but it only times out every once in a while. You can see that almost every game I D'cd i came back if I could. The system is broken because it auto-punishes even if you dc for a few seconds.

No, it auto-punishes when you DC/afk/idle past a certain threshold over several games.

And you getting punished by the leavebuster doesn't mean he benefited. It means you were punished by the leavebuster and it's an issue separate from the other player intentionally feeding.

All you had to do was play the game. You chose not to by idling.

The whole team except the troll did. The system is unfairly punishing people that lag or time out for a few seconds. You don't see the glaring problem here that a troll got a bonus from their system and it punished someone that has temporary laggy internet? " All I had to do was eat some fukn prozac stfu and let the troll have his fun", even though my whole team opened mid. This is backwards thinking. You can submit and bend over all you want to, I'm going to call out the flawed system.

The system does not punish for rare occurances of lag or timeout problems. If you had been punished, it was not longer a rare occurrence. All you had to do was play the game.

The troll did not get a bonus. You afk'ed, you were punished by the system that punishes people once you afk/leave a certain amount. That game was enough to push you over the threshold because of your previous history. The system must function this way because it's impossible to tell why someone loses connection to the server.

Once again,

All you had to do was play the game.

While your whole team may have agreed to idle the game away, you still made the enemy (5 entire players) waste 20 minutes of their time to finish a game that wasn't fun for them as they had to play with no opponents.

Your idling, regardless of if your whole team agreed to it ruined the game for 5 others. That's why it's punishable.
