Temporarily Ban People from Starting a Surrender Vote

Okay, recently I seem to be getting queued with a lot of people that have low morale. During the early game maybe they fed a little, or someone else on our team fed a little, or someone on the enemy team is just really strong. So as soon as this low morale person gets the chance they start a surrender vote. Of course it doesn't always pass, so the next chance they get they start another surrender vote, and the next chance another, and another. Usually without any regards to whether or not we're starting to make a come back or not. The game isn't going the way they wanted it to and they want out ASAP.

Which is understandable. You play League to have fun and if you aren't having fun then you probably want to stop playing as soon as you can. That's totally fine. What isn't fine is when you are so tilted that you keep spamming surrender votes when a game isn't going the way you want, and because of all that you probably aren't playing to your fullest potential anymore because you just don't care anymore.

I think a lot of players abuse the option to ff and pretty much go into a game with the mentality that if they play badly, or someone else plays badly, they don't have to try anymore and can just give up immediately without any consequence. I think this stops a lot of people from learning how to actually play the game because they can just flee the game entirely at the first sign of true adversity instead of trying to play against it, or trying different strats, or counter builds, or counter plays. This basically leaves a giant void in a lot of players knowledge of how to turn a game around, how to carry, or just things you can do when you're starting to lose.

So, basically, the idea is to ban people from starting a surrender vote after starting so many in a row. Say you try to surrender 3 or so times in a row in one game or you are the first to start a vote in every game you play for 3 games straight. After the 3rd attempt to forfeit in one game, or the 3rd game in a row that you try to forfeit, you will not be able to start another vote for the next 3 games, including the one you are currently playing. Of course you would still be able to vote if someone else started it. This could help people see surrendering as more of an option that they have to actually consider before using it instead of just an easy way out with no repercussions.

TL;DR

Temporarily ban people from starting a surrender vote after starting 3 in a row in one game or if they're the first to start a vote in every game they play for 3 games straight. Still allow them to vote if someone else starts it but don't allow them to start another vote for 3 or so games.

OMG! That's brilliant! What an compromise. Serial Surrenderers should not be allowed to continue to ruin multiple games like this.

Of course this will never be implemented. Riot people are payed off by boosting companies to keep in place things like surrender so that they can crank out 5 games an hour for their clients.

only if you can make surrender votes 3/2 to pass after minute 30. people forget that griefers will often vote no. just to prolong a game with little chance of winning. and make people more miserable
