Haven't played in over year and I'm banned?
So, I don't play on my account very often, and i don't think I've played in a year, but I tried to log on just now and it says I'm banned. I don't understand. Maybe I was hacked, please help.

I share the same experience, slightly. I can log in, look at match history, access the store, adjust settings/runes/masteries and see my profile and every thing but I forever can't click on "Play" button and my chat is forever disconnected.
Create a support ticket, they can at least tell you why it's banned - https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us
Note: some bans are just "hey, it looked like someone was trying to hack you, so we locked the account until you talked to us"

If you were hacked, there's a possibility that they noticed activity and they preemptively locked your account, which would require you to answer some security questions. If they haven't, try to detail out when you last used your account and when you think it could have been compromised.
