I got permanently banned recently and I regret it so much I've just bought a new skin and I got permanently banned not saying I'm innocent but the system is kinda harsh.They should at least add one more ban in between a 14 day and a permanent ban and the ban should be 30 days so they give more chance to players to reform.I made tickets asking to be unbanned but they said that my account will be forever unable to use. I started a new account and most of the people that I get in game are banned people maybe if we show good behaivour on our new accounts we can get unbanned ?

Other than to alleviate your own frustration, is there any real reason for something like this to be implemented?

The current system already has several steps before a permanent ban, and the community as a whole seems pretty eager to ban players that continuously break the rules. The two-week ban already tells you that you're on your last warning. I don't really see how one more step before perma would convey a message that the two-week ban doesn't.

Unfortunately, the time to show commitment to reforming is before the permanent ban, not after. If Riot Support has indicated that your account will not be unbanned than that account is lost. Riot's experiments in offering more chances to reform (both through additional bans and through earning back accounts) all had an alarmingly high failure rate, and thus were discontinued as available options. Banned accounts remain banned forever now.

I didn't know I was going to get permanently banned I received a 14 day ban and that is my mistake because I didn't read it and i played like 30 games and got banned for 2 of those where I was "extremely" toxic 1st game I was 20/5 with Vayne and a feeder said to me that i'm bad and that I should delete this game I replied with "kys" 2nd game I was a little bit more toxic I admit and only because I've been going through a tough time in real life

That doesn't make it okay to joke about. And believe it or not, it wasn't Riot the company that decided one day that kys was utterly unacceptable, and put it as a zero-tolerance term. It was the players. The Instant Feedback System (IFS) is not just a a programmable bot that Riot inputs a list of bannable words into. They have the ability to put words in, obviously, but the main function of the IFS is to learn what the players of a particular region deem toxic, and punish accordingly. The term kys hasn't always been zero tolerance. I posted about this once a few months ago, and The Djinn confirmed in another thread recently, that it was only about two years ago that players began to have serious objections to players using the term so flippantly. The levels of reports, and the consistent outcry from players taught the IFS that this term was excessively toxic.

Something tells me that if 3 warnings isn't doing it for you, adding a 4th isn't what's gonna cut it for you.

    You now stand at that proverbial crossroad : Either you find this game is worth the effort and you grind it back to lvl 30 on a new account that you are more careful with, or it's not worth the effort and you find something else to occupy your time.

I only got 1 warning before perma ban and it was a 14 day ban I didn't know that the next ban is perma.

The alert that tells you that you are being given a 14 day suspension tells you that your next punishment is a permanent suspension. Players are always told that if their behavior continues, they will have their account permanently suspended.

This is one of the 14 day suspension pop-up alerts. (I just pulled it from a Google image search and marked out the player's name for confidentiality.)

I know that now but my first punishment was a 14 day ban not chat restriction they use that in extremely toxic cases I believe that I'm not that case.

It depends on what you said in those games. If you used any form of hate speech (racial or homophobic slurs), or told other players to kill themselves, then yes, you would be that case. Those things are considered extremely toxic. If you still have the logs from your 14 day suspension, you can post them here, and we can tell you why you were escalated.

Wasn't sure if you had saved them or not; some people do. Basically, it usually has to be something pretty rough for someone to get escalated. The things I mentioned above will do it. Hate speech of any kind (racism, sexism, homophobia, slurs against mental disorders), death threats, instructions to self-harm/suicide, or wishing any sort of grievous bodily injury/illness on another player or that player's family are all grounds for an immediate 14 day suspension. Also, any of the gameplay related offenses, like intentionally feeding and some instances of boosting, are given immediate 14 day suspensions, and those suspensions do not count separately from the behavioral ones. So, a 14 day suspension for inting can still be permabanned on the next punishment for toxicity.

Swearing by itself isn't against the rules. It's perfectly fine to say something like "Fuckshitpoo, I missed smite." It's when you use the swears at another player, in a derogatory manner that they become toxic. It's not fine to say "Fuck off you fucking blind ass Lee Sin." See the difference? Even if you swear a lot, if it isn't directed at anyone, it's generally not going to be considered a severe offense. I mean, if you type 100 lines of chat in a game, and 99 of them are a curse word, then you might end up with some sort of punishment, because that's just taking it a little too far. But as far as dropping an f-bomb here or there, it's not a problem.

But like The Evil Queen said, the other two are pretty bad. Retard is considered a form of hate speech, as it's a slur against someone with a mental disorder. And kys is literally telling another player to end their life. Riot, and the player base, do not approve of those things, and they are punished quite severely.

The one thing that I really wonder about... if using kys is what got you the immediate 14 day suspension, why did you use it again?

I didn't spam it I said it once in each game(there were 2 games) I just got pissed off by a feeder in a ranked match the toxicity got the better of me I guess and I found out only after I got perma banned that that's a extremely toxic word. And I see so much of these words that they lose their meaning like I see them in 70% of the LoL matches I see them on the internet so often that it takes away the true meaning of those words.

They may have lost their meaning to you, but they have not to the vast majority of the playerbase. Which is why they are reported, and punished.

Well you can create a new account but the one you had won't be given back to you, there is already a few step that you can use to reform before a permaban.

But if you know you don't have enough self control just don't buy anything because you know your account is gonna get banned sooner or later.

They let permabanned players play again on their accounts and I believe it was 95% of them stayed toxic.

If they gave them a chance they can atleast give me one dude trust me it all came in a bad time that i played this game since 2013 and in the last month is the only month i got bans

As Angus said, the program failed horribly. Folks who were toxic enough to get banned almost always failed to reform. You went over the line.

Riot can't stop you from making a new account, but they have zero confidence in your ability to behave yourself at this point, and there's not really anything you can do to change their mind.

It was called the Level 20 Challenge, and it consisted of making a new account and getting it to level 20 without any behavioral issues. If you, I think Riot unbanned your main account and you were put back on good terms and watched for a while. 95% of these people failed and the 5% that were successful rejoined the League of Legends community, truly reformed.

I just can't believe you got a 14 day ban, realized they actually banned accounts on this game, and decided to stay ignorant of the rules and what gets you banned. "Kys" is like the most obviously banned phrase and you had no idea. What the fuck. Protect yourself, dude. Knowledge is power.

also in that reform program they handpicked the players they thought were most likely to succeed and almost all of them STILL FAILED.

next time read the fine print of any bans/restrictions. also always read the updated ban/restriction policies because i know they've changed it since 2013 at least twice. honestly though i don't completely disagree with a middle ban but i think it should be more like 6 months or a one year.

That's way to long I think the middle ban should be implemented and it should be 30 to 50 days that's my opinion they should add it maybe it wont fix anything but it wont ruin anything either.

Why should they do you a favor? the 14 day ban should be enough to tell you to stop and change your behaviour.

The 30 day ban would not change anything at all. People would just use the same phrases like "there should be at least one more step after 30 day ban"

It's not too hard not to be toxic, just grow up goddamn.
