14 Days Banned. Here are my thoughts and Chat logs.

Hello Riot Forums. I never created a Discussion here before but I wanted to do it today. As you can see in the title I got a 14 Day Suspension. I wanted to share my Chatlogs with you guys and what you guys think about it.

Chatlogs:

My thoughts on this case is: I admit it, I was very passive agressive or just agressive and toxic I guess. But in my opinion(which could be wrong) it isn't worth to get 14 Day banned. Maybe thats just me though. Oh and before people ask yes I was very Toxic in the past and I really deserved my 10 Games and 25 Games Chat restrictions. Maybe I should stop chatting for good... Anyways I regret it I truly do and I'm scared that I won't get any Season Rewards because of my Suspension which would be sad I bet the Diamond Border would look amazing :P. I really have no clue how the System works because its my first time getting banned or "punished" or Chat Restricted. I am playing since late Season 3 if its matter. I just really hope I get my Rewards item 3070 . Oh and I wanted to ask if there is any way to get a reformation card or something so you are offically clean again and eligible for rewards and keys and etc. Anyways thanks for reading I wish you guys a good day/night or whatever :)

If i can remember right the rules last seaon where everyone with a ban or active chat restriction after august 30th gets no rewards. if i look at your logs i´d say deserved. you keep blaming and calling for reports and "Fading Pride: Look a t Lee Sins Club tag. Report calling; harrasment, but without using bad words; you are calling Lee Sin Plat V; say to a person to go AFK; , that's only what I observed

The current system handles punishments with a 4 strike system:

1.) 10 game chat restriction 2.) 25 game chat restriction 3.) 14 day ban 4.) Permanent ban

Each punishment you get moves you up one tier in the ladder, regardless of how minor it may have been (though very extreme offenses can escalate straight to a 14 day or permanent ban). With the system, it's not so much a question of "Did this deserve the punishment I got" as much as "Did this deserve a punishment at all." If it does deserve a punishment, then what punishment you get is determined by your history with the system. Since you mentioned that you had a 10 game and 25 game chat restriction, a 14 day ban is the standard next punishment.

That's definitely not a bad idea. Whatever you can do to control yourself is good, and if not chatting period or /mute all is what it takes, then that's fine. Whatever you decide to do, though, I would be careful for a while, as your next punishment will be a permanent ban. I do wish you the best of luck.

Oh, I should mention that it is possible to lower your punishment tier. If you go approximately 3 months without being punished, you will drop down one tier on the ladder. For example, you are now at the permanent ban tier, but if you go 3 months without any punishment, then you will drop one tier and your next punishment will instead be another 14 day ban. If you go another 3 months after that, then you will be lowered to a 25 game chat restriction, and so on and so on.

As for the end of season rewards, there hasn't been an official announcement on how punishments will affect your eligibility for this season. Last season, you were ineligible to earn them if you had an active chat restriction at the time of the season's end or if you had a temporary suspension 3 months before the season's end. If the policy stays the same, then you probably won't get the end of season rewards.

You realize there's no longer any small bans now? You get chat restrictions and then if you keep getting reported you get to face tank a 14 day ban. You also won't get any season rewards, they get stripped from you if you get banned, maybe even with chat restrictions I'm not sure.

No offense, but you've played out the generic script of every bad 14-day ban appeal.

I got a ban. Here's the chat logs which got me banned, therefore I don't deserve to be banned.

Riot makes it clear in the ToS that you are being given the privilege to use their service. It's important to understand the distinction between a service and a product; a service is not your property or responsibility and may be cancelled at any time. Riot makes ban decisions to ensure that the game remains fair and fun for everybody and in this case it appears evident that you reduced the quality of the game for the others involved.

I don't think you have given any clear evidence that the decision was incorrect; you can seek an appeal, but it is doubtful you'll receive one with what you've provided. I think the best course of action is to wait out the ban and work on improving your behaviour in chat. Losing sucks and the last thing you'd want is a team-mate rubbing it into your face :/

We're all playing the game to blow off steam, make a few cool plays, and have fun, so take it easy in chat and I'm sure you'll be fine in the future :D

They haven't announced the rules for eligibility on end of season rewards yet, but if you want to look over last season's terms

They're likely a good indication of what they'll be doing this year as well.

  • Being banned or having active chat/ranked restrictions at November 11th, 00:01 PST
  • If you had any 7 day or more bans, they must have expired/ended at or before August 9th, 23:59 PST For example, if you received a 7 day ban on August 2nd and it ended on or sometime before August 9th, 23:59 PDT, you are eligible for rewards On the other hand, if you received a 7 day ban on August 3rd and it ended on or after August 10th, 00:00 PST, you are ineligible for rewards

August 9th was a little over 3 months prior to the season's end.
