Banned for being rusty

Hadn't played league in a while, decided to play a game or two to see how things are. Lose to a katarina mid lane because I was unaware of the rework and of course nobody on my team helps me, just trash me for being a noob etc. Other team and my team are flaming me and tell me I'm garbage with karma and one of them ends up doing a 1v1 vs me as karma and inviting all the other players. Being a good sport, I obliged and almost won, I missed a q at the end and he ended up killing me. They all start talking trash on me and then left; I left about 15 seconds after, once I loaded out of the game it told me my "recent behavior" was unacceptable and I was permanently banned. It's kind of absurd that I can get punished because these guys wanted to gang up on me. Also there's the fact that this was my 2nd game in months, so I don't know how "recent" it really is.

It sounds like it might have been a punishment based on chat, not on gameplay. Did you receive any sort of chatlog showing your chat for one or more games?

I seriously doubt you were banned for performing poorly. What exactly were you told? Did you get your chat logs with your ban notification?

Did you say anything back to them? You wouldn't be banned on your gameplay, but chat

I didn't even say anything in the 1v1 besides gg, the game where they harassed me I didn't insult them, they attacked me because I was tilting

If you were punished by the Instant Feedback System, then you will have received an in-client reform card with chat logs showing examples of the type of behavior that got you punished. If you want to have a further discussion about your ban, would you mind posting those chat logs here?

The only chat log is for the one game I played against them, any cuss word is *****. I wish it would show what they said as well, doesn't give any context to what I'm saying.

Because you received chat logs, you were not banned for being rusty, you were banned for your behavior in chat.

The reason why it doesn't show what anyone else says is because you are not responsible for their behavior, only for your own. While I understand it sucks to have other flaming and harassing you, their behavior is not an excuse to retaliate with your own negative behavior. If others are being toxic towards you, then it's best to mute/ignore them and report them after the game. Retaliation does nothing to help the situation, but rather just makes it worse, which is why it's not acceptable.

Now, cursing by itself is not inherently punishable. However, if you were cursing at other players to insult or harass them, that is indeed punishable, so if your chat logs show that, then the ban was not an error. Of course, without seeing your chat logs, I can't say for sure if this is indeed the case, but if I were to guess, I would say it is.
