What do when Teammember completely fall off their role?

So, following happened:

Im playing a normal and in normal queue. Im getting the ADC role, picking Caitlyn and my rupport picks Bard. Everything fine until here. I already noticed my Jungle and Support being pre (since theyre from one Club), making stupid Jokes in teamchat - i didnt bother.

When the game started, Bard went duo top. Mid and me told him to come bot since im 2v1 against a jinx/alistar lane. He completely ignored us, staying top with yasuo, 2v1ing the opposing top laner. After like 8 Minutes of the most bs lane i ever had to play, i decided to afk, it just didnt make any sense to me to try win this lane since its not even fun. The average "youre bullshit kid stfu"-thing happened by jung and bard afterwards which got reported, but thats not the point i want to make.

I get it is only a normal, and i get things like this happen. No discussion about me afking is the wrong thing to do. I know that, but why should i bother playing while it simply is no fun at all? I would like to know what i shouldve done here in order to comply to the rules. I mean, are the rules seriously forcing me to 2v1 a lane i cant win?

Remaking was no alternative since first blood was already given away. So i couldve either continued playing, or leave.

Id like to know your opinion here, thanks in advance.

Just play out the game.

Luckily, you had chosen Caitlyn who has the range and safety to handle herself adequately in a 1v2 lane. While you will lose the lane, you just have to try and keep your tower for as long as you can and get whatever farm you can safely.

Your best option would probably have been to place traps under your own tower and farm up as best you could. While you would be behind your lane opponent in farm, the enemy top laner should be pretty far behind too. Come teamfight phase, your team would just have to try and dive the Jinx to remove her from the fight.

While they didn't precisely follow the meta, that alone isn't punishable. Just use it as an opportunity to practice; you will have to 1v2 at times (when an ally is DCed or roaming), so it would have been a good opportunity to practice doing so.

Hold the lane as long as you can. Farm under tower. Keep tribush warded to keep an eye on potential ganks. Let them take the first bot lane tower if need be then farm up bot lane in peace. Make sure not to push out too far without proper vision. Once laning is over group accordingly and play as usual. The upside to your solo lane versus the two enemy bot is you should have a couple more levels than them. A level advantage does help. Caitlyn was actually a decent pick for this situation because you can farm fairly safely under tower.

learn to adapt instead of whining

Troll them back. Go up there and make it a 3v1 on the top or sneak into the enemy's base while getting hit by a few turrets and start to dance lmao...You could also type in /all chat saying that you're going to get dragon or baron so they try to stop you.

Personally, I would've just gone top as well. Clearly that person was a troll, but if they're still trying to win then eventually someone will have to do something about that free bot lane. Just follow the bard everywhere he goes.

Firstly, the supports job is to support the team. Nothing says they have to baby sit the ADC and its a similar argument as "jungler has to gank" (its not, the jungler has his own game to play through counter jungling and maintaining objective pressure). When the support goes elsewhere, it is not a punishable offense.

There are lots of times you may be faced to 1v2 as ADC.

  • DCs/AFKs
  • Support roaming into other lanes / jungle
  • support has died
  • Team split doing another objective (while you keep their bot lane occupied)

As Cait, it shouldn't be too hard to freeze the lane against Jinx & Alistar.

Many have mentioned already, learn to Freeze / CS under tower (lots of youtube videos on how to do that), keep tri-brush warded, its ok to give up the tower, save your net against Alistar's engage, lay out a bunch of traps to zone them off from being on the offense, CSing is a privilege and your goal is to not die.

Main things to learn:

  • How to freeze
  • how to CS under tower
  • How to maintain vision
  • how to manage your resources (HP & mana)
  • When to give up CS for safety
  • when to give up the tower

I've become a much better ADC cos I've learnt those things, and I'm not even an ADC main.

If you really want to practice 1v2, you can go into a custom game, set up 4 enemy intermediate bots (1st bot goes bot, 2nd goes mid, 3rd goes top, 4th goes bot again) and you'll have a 1v2 bot lane. You can set 2 bots for yourself if you don't want your other lanes being pushed in too hard.
