This system has absolutely ruined my opinion of this game. Your teammates can sit there and be toxic the entire game and harass you and tell you to kill yourself, but if you threaten to report them or tell them they're being a dick you can be reported too and flagged for it. This is obnoxious. I've thought it for ages but never made a post about it until it actually affected my account. I've gotten a chat restriction and now a ban and literally never said anything worse in a game than "that was retarded" or "stop being toxic". I understand the former could easily be considered offensive, but that isn't as reoccurring as the latter. I'm disappointed in Riot, I'm disappointed in the community, and I probably won't be returning to the game.

If your teammate is toxic the entire game, report them.

If you tell someone they are being a dick and you will report them .. nothing is going to happen to you. Unless of course you are harassing people yourself.

I've gotten a chat restriction and now a ban and literally never said anything worse in a game than "that was retarded" or "stop being toxic".

Chat logs are provided in the order of perceived severity. You grabbed the 3rd (of 3) most severe chat logs to represent your position. After you played that game, you were not penalized.

What your teammates are doing means absolutely nothing. When posting logs, post all logs provided. You can list them as 'Game 1', 'Game 2', and 'Game 3' as provided in your reform card. I can post them if you'd like and it is easier for you.

This is my smurf and in my experience I win way more if I can convince people to build appropriately and strive for certain objectives. It usually does work to be completely honesty. I'm totally tilted in these examples, I won't deny that.

This guy was literally refusing to gank, every lane was asking for help and he afk farmed the whole game. I tilted in lane because the other jungler was slamming us while ours was just insulting lanes for feeding. I'm tilted because this is all too common. Jungler does literally nothing but blame his lanes for the loss when he could've capitalized on the lanes that were holding or ahead. There wasn't much helpful chat in this one for sure. I tilted early and at first I was just trying to get the dude to gank and not fall behind. He was kayn so you actually have to gank to stay with the game transform and I told him that.

Are you saying there was nothing wrong with this log? Because this log doesn't look entirely clean to me.

Multiple logs are given to show the types of normal behavior a player exhibits to help them improve. This log is bad. This log is not good. But this log by itself is not what caused a penalty. The machine learning system not only looks for single egregious games, it also looks for patterns of ruining games.

I think it's important to realize that it's not always the severity of the crime, but the frequency. I've said some negative things from time to time when I was tilted and something didn't go my way. I don't make a whole entire novel out of it though. Some people might find that such heavy policing of what appears to be negative but minor verbal abuse is unwarranted, which is why I'd like to point out that frequency could be a factor.

So what? If people are toxic they will get punished. If you are toxic, you will get punished. The only sensible thing to do is to shut up and report them. The moment you start to reply to toxicity with toxicity, you make yourself as punishable as the other player. No, getting harassed does not give you a free pass on being toxic yourself.

I don't see how anyone could conclusively say that either though. With virtually no context given and no outright toxicity there, how can we be sure? I see things much worse than that every other game.

Being negative, if you recall, is an option when reporting... meaning constant negativity is bannable. His chats are consistently negative. "Well we might as well FF" "well you're not playing how i want so no ganks for you" "are you high" "this game is over" "bronze"

Like, I genuinely didn't bother reading til the end of his first log. It's pretty awful. No single line of his chat log is especially heinous, but when combined, his log is very negative, and borderline harassment because he just won't shut the f up and let his team play. He's constantly creating or adding to a negative experience for his team.

Could you give me reason why constant flaming on me has no consequences of players. Not even "I hope you die" has no effect. I know you ignored my another post as I dared to put it blatantly visible that you are not doing what you say you are doing.

I sincerely hope *all support devs create harass support champions on EUNE. After that heads on EUNE support would start rolling with plenty of players losing their accounts.

To be honesty I'm extremely surprised I even got a response from a rioter. I really do appreciate the feedback from everyone. I usually don't say things like this, but I sort of have taken a different view on my logs because of this post. I still wish I could play, but I have to wait 14 days for that clearly.

people are usually bias towards their own cause... to step back and look at themselves with no filters /bias they will see their flaws.

im not here to bash on you... but in all honestly i cant believe someone chats that much in a game. i tried to avoid chat as much as possible , thats me.

my suggestion is two rules...

one we learned as a kid , if you have nothing nice to say dont say anything at all...

and you cant get banned for what you dont say..

Yah I do chat a lot. I try to overuse it to seem helpful in most games, but this is a side effect sometimes. Sometimes I feel like I wish I could mute myself so I couldn't respond to people or restrict my messages. Like when I have a chat restriction and am forced to save my messages for cooperation, I never go into these situations. Definitely a self control/rager issue

You should also keep in mind that there is an escalation schedule.

You've already had a 10-game chat restriction and 25-game chat restriction before this. You were warning that the next penalty would be this 14-day ban without changing your behavior. These logs show that you consistently fight with and blame your team. You type more than you play. When I say consistent, I mean the majority of games you play. Thus, you were issued a 14-day ban.

Majority? So I've been flagged for 9 games out of over 100 is a safe guess. I have close to 100 ranked games I believe. And yes, I've progressed through the chat restrictions which I no longer have the logs for but felt the same exact way. I agree that these aren't friendly by any means, but am really surprised that they're bannable when I'd say most of them are responsive to toxic teammates. I guess I just can't get over the fact that you don't consider the situation the player is in when they say things like this. In some of these I had teammates refusing to contribute, trying to make us lose, and harassing other members of my team and yah it totally set me off and I probably should've just muted. Instead I chose to be aggressive and convince the player that they were wrong. In the real world this isn't really a big deal, so why would it ban my account in a video game? This isn't COD, it requires strategy and sometimes harsh criticism is necessary imo. I understand I don't make the rules and reflecting on these logs I do feel shitty like I shouldn't have said some of these things and let it get out of hand. I just can't get over how this is comparable to people dropping the n-bomb and telling people to drink bleach.

I mean, I get your point but it's not factually correct at all. You could've been flagged more than a dozen times, but if they're not close together you'd never know. If you've ever said anything bad or even remotely toxic there's a good chance you have been flagged.[slayer-jinx-wink]

You're shown three examples, but that does not mean that those were the only games where you were flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct. In fact, it's very likely you were flagged many more times than just the 9 games provided to you. Hence Tantram's use of "majority".
