Reporting has gotten out of hand

I'm so tired of what league has become. People are so sensitive and trigger easily. Why even allow chat? Funny how my chat ban doesn't show the hate comments and harassment that was directed towards me, only shows me defending myself. And I get the ban. Seems legit. Riot you need to figure your community out, if I pay one more cent into this account and you "perm ban" me again, I will be suing you. This time however I've saved all the chat logs, including the chats you refuse to show in the justification screen. You should probably rethink how you handle report cases. summoner 14

False reports will lower your acc's integrity. At some point even your legit reports will be completely ignored by the system due to low integrity scores.

I believe that was debunked at some point. Before it may have been true, but not anymore. The system treats everyone's reports equally. But a report does nothing if there's no behavior worthy of the report in the first place.

That is incorrect -- reports do not lose value/weight, since there is no longer such thing as "report weight" (1x is the same as 9x);

HOWEVER, false reporting and/or using report calling ingame is a form of harassment and punishable.

Judging by your chatlog, I can just say, go ahead.

Salty reports without reason won't do anything in any case, the scanner is very good at filtering those out.

Uh huh. Sure.

The ToS are pretty damn waterproof. Essentially, your account, same as all other accounts, is Riots property, always have been, always will be. They can do with it as they damn well please. The money you spent on league did not change any ownership of digital goods, but was payment for a service provided...access to which can be revoked by the service provider (riot) at any time, and especially under circumstances such as toxicity.

And yes, you agreed to that.

I mean, surely it can't be that important, right? It was just a big wall of text that that that guy probably ignored and clicked "I agree" to.

And has parts like Section 2 (Account Termination), which says that Riot has the right to Terminate the account if they believe a user has violated the terms of the agreement or if it would be in their or the community's best interest (among other reasons and options available to them to justify termination of account), and therefore, their privilege to use Riot's Property with the associated content tied to the account is forfeit, without refund.

Or Section 5: (Code of Conduct), which clarifies that behavior such as that which has been displayed in the OP's chat log, is greatly frowned upon, and can lead to the issue being resolved via Section 2's solution.

Fair enough.

One last thing to add: None of what you're showing is self defense. You're using counter-aggression, which makes you just as guilty as they are, in League's system. Self defense would be simply muting these people and reporting them when the game is over. As a bonus, you can actually mute pings now, too. There's zero excuse to start harassing your teammates, even if they did it first.

you don't have to take it. just mute them and you aren't taking it anymore.

You can of course report them after the game ends.
