Never knew riot hands out chat restriction that easily. All I did was saying gg ez game and calling other people bad, nothing more. So you are telling me I can't call them bad when they saying something bad to me? I just have to take it in me and do nothing about it? I've seen severely worse verbal abuse and they are still running around like chickens. Here is the in game chat, but remember, most of them are replies to someone else calling me bad. I know my attitude is negative, but it's hard to keep a positive attitude in bronze when everyone else is flaming you, I was at one point 1v2-3 my teammates with chat. lol... Now I'm just going to mute everyone since the beginning of the game, fuck communicating cuz this game does not support communication.

Which is exactly why it's important to reform or get rid of people with a negative attitude. Negative attitude is contagious and just begets more negative attitude. The game most certainly does support communication, but if you find yourself being this negative, it might not be a horrible idea to ignore the chat function for a while until you regained your cool.

how am I this negative? Play a game in bronze and you will see I am probably one of the most positive players in that elo.

But this isn't the zoo is it? If someone punches you in real life, what are you going to do? mute them? Shit is, the team who reported me was being toxic as well and I know they aren't getting punished because I didn't report them.

That's your fault for not reporting them. And no, I'm not making a 'defend yourself' argument, I'm saying that being toxic just because everyone else is toxic only contributes to the problem. Nothing will change if we don't be more mindful. And if someone punches you in the face, you report them. You leave the situation, try to get some identification like a picture, and report it to the police.

Only myself reporting won't get them banned at all. I wasn't even being toxic just negative attitude. I think my example of punching is a bit off, perhaps I should be more careful with them. How about when someone swears at you in real life, I would just either swear back or punch them in the face. Now they will call the police and report me etc etc, but police won't arrest me for doing so because he was the one started it. It might sound childish but that's just how life works, it is people's natural reaction to something offensive, and riot is trying to change the way we naturally behave which I think is incorrect.

Right, and swearing back wouldn't do anything but increase the anger of you, the person, and everyone around you.

I know it's not the right thing to do, but it certainly isn't the wrong thing either. Will swearing at each other get you arrested? In this case I wasn't even swearing and got punished. The entire point of this post is: why do I get punished so hard for just being normal?

You're right: It sounds chidlish. And you know why it does? Because it is. Arguing that this is our "natural behaviour" (like, for example rape) or that it is just "how life works" (like, for example racism) doesn't really change that.

Sidenote: I'm pretty happy I live in a country where punching somebody in the face because they insulted you is still considered a crime, even though "they started it".

With that attitude you should prolly learn how to play league of legends. It's a team game not 1v1.

We make mistakes all the time but if your good enough anyone can 1v9

  1. If you're getting flamed and you flame back, you are still being toxic and can be punished.
  2. Several Rioters have stated explicitly that any form of "gg easy" is considered punishable.
  3. You've talked more in three games than I do in several weeks, most of it arguing. You should have muted the other players long before it got to that point.

This is exactly what I should do, uninstall chat function, problem solved. I am that kind of person who likes to argue and prove my point. For your second point, I've seen people in sports team do that VERY often, especially football, joking or not at least they spam like it's nothing, everyone is just used to it.
