I was flamed and then Perma banned for replying to toxic player.

I was paying a game of League of Legends, trying to practice my Rengar jungle. We had a Kog'Maw top who was feeding and losing lane to a Heimer. Due to my knowledge on the game, I knew not to gank a heimer lane and the guy flames me has hard as he can. I come to gank and his lane the heimer outplays and gets a double kill. From then on the game went to shit and everyone started feeding...The guy continuously flames me up to the 15 minute mark and then I tell him that he is mad and bad. I then go into all chat and ask everyone to report him because he generally made my playing experience just miserable to the point that I couldn't stand it anymore. What I didn't know was that he had a trio of with him and that they all planned on reporting me (They told me so after the game ). So after the game i ask everyone on the enemy team to report him and shortly 5 minutes later, My acc is permanently banned and I'm sitting here furious that this is Riots idea of a punishment system. If some Rioter or any summoner out there can come and give me an explanation for this ( Pro tip : They can't ) that would be lovely. Aside from that, after 4 years of playing this game and trying my hardest to be as non toxic and fun based as I can, I'm retiring this game. Sorry for any grammatical mistakes, I'm outraged that this is what Riot considers " Justice ".

You did not get a permanent ban for JUST THAT. And while that is rough, and I'm sorry you had that experience, you also had three other punishments, meaning that this was simply the cap on the punishment cake.

If you weren't toxic before, maybe you got perma-banned for something else, look for your reform card.

If you were banned for toxicity, well, you were on super thin ice already.

May I add that he also called me autistic and a dumb ni****, I added him on my smurf and he's doing fine. He flamed me the entire game and he gets away, but me replying with " Mad and bad " and I get permabanned.

This punishment system is completely fucked my friend. I've had problems with toxicity in the past ( mind you this was in season 2 / 3 ). I was a bit younger then.

I'm inclined to believe you wrote more than just those three words. Plus, permaban is the last of a series of punishments. You got punished before, so you know the deal.

The system is fucked indeed, but fucked or not, to even get on the system's radar then get permabanned from it, after a while it stops being "The system is out to get me." and you are just toxic.

You realize that the tribunal is gone at the moment right? It's running off a automated system. How the hell is Riot gonna let a automated system permaban accounts. It's so unfair and fucked up that since a trio reported me I get permabanned. And he spent the entire game flaming? I said one thing because I couldn't take it anymore. " Mad and bad , I'm muting and reporting ". I'm glad to be gone, this community and Rioters have have the most flawed and ridiculous logic.

Yes, the tribunal is down, however Permabans are handle on a case by case trial, to get permabanned, a Rioter looked at your account, thought you had no way as well as didn't mean to redeem yourself, so you got permabanned. Yes, the automated system is once again bad, but don't act like you didn't see this coming, don't act like you have some squeeky clean conduct and this came out of nowhere. HELL, you didn't even post your logs. You are glad to be gone, we are glad to have another toxic player gone, so huuray.

Well, I only play this game with friends. I rarely use even use chat. When i do it's along the lines of " LOL ". I can't link logs because oh boy guess what? Tribunal is down rofl. They are letting an automated system permaban accounts. If any of you want to learn anything, understand that when playing by yourself, groups of people decide the health of your account, not if you're actually toxic or not. Good riddance to League.

Check your email, you get logs, post them, or no one is going to believe you are the innocent party here.

Actually no. Even when the Tribunal was up permabans were handled by Riot themselves. The same holds true today. Don't believe me? Then just check out this article here. Also, your excuse for not linking logs doesn't fly here, as you should have received them in an email and/or in the client when you got your punishment. This can mean only 3 things:

  1. You do have access to your reform card but are choosing not to post it for whatever reason there.
  2. You do not have access to your reform card and should file a Support Ticket to get it.
  3. You do not know where your reform card is and in that case should check your spam folder to make sure it didn't get tossed in there by mistake.

Also, you may only play WITH friends but you play AGAINST non-friends and as such what you may get away with in your group/circle of friends you didn't with your non-friends there. The moment you decided to take the rage to all-chat you gave them all the proof that they needed to report you right then and there. It's a shame that you got permabanned but please try to understand that you had at least 3 chances to change your behavior for the better and you chose not to do so and so because of that fact you have no one to blame but yourself there really.

P.S. And before you try to argue that someone else started it, you should really go and check out these facts from the Tribunal FAQ first:

That player in my game was far worse than me. Why am I banned??? I'll keep this one simple: those other players in your game that you thought were worse are probably also banned. Nearly 100% of the time, those players were banned even before you were. If someone is being toxic, just report them and move on.

We strongly believe that it is not OK to retaliate. If a player refuses to cooperate and says something negative, then players should ignore the player and report them after the game. Players can ignore or mute players by pressing the “Mute” button on the Scoreboard [when you hit TAB] in the game.

If a player retaliates and says something bad back, then the two of you have made a negative experience for potentially the other 8 players in the game. Rarely do teams start working together better when players begin fighting back—great games only happen when players cooperate and don’t make the issues even worse by fighting back and forth.

What's the point of having a language filter if I can get banned for 'adult' language? We aren't out to punish players who use adult language; in fact, very few players are ever banned for saying stuff like "f***, I missed that skill shot" or "damn, fing close game!" However, the language filter is not an excuse to verbally abuse someone in the game. When you verbally abuse or harass someone by calling them "fing *****" or "ngger noob", that's when you've crossed the line and will be punished by the Tribunal. I've said this before and I'll say it again, we aren't trying to clean online games of adult language; we're trying to reform or get rid of jerks who like to verbally abuse and harass other players.

Why is verbal abuse punishable if there is a mute button/language filter? Players shouldn’t need to rely on features like the mute button or language filter to engage with other players in positive ways. When a player verbally abuses another player and forces him to use the mute button, they have already created a negative experience for that player.

if you have the guts .. you should post your reform card here. It should be in your email that you registered with Riot. It may be in junk ...

Your wrong, actually. For things like this, the system only flags you and sends it to a Riot employee. That's who judged you, not a program.

Over the course of 4 years , I haven't played many ranked games. I was really just in to the game to have fun with friends. It's a rare occasion when I even talk in chat. I played ranked for the first time during season 4 and got placed in bronze and just stayed there. Only this year did I decide I wanted to climb. If you want me to link the chat log, I would gladly do so. Also I feel as though you really wanted an excuse to use that sticker rofl.

I really don't feel like replying too all the new comments, I could copy paste the chat log but I didn't think you guys would honestly believe some bullshit lol. And too the guy who posted a book, It's good to know that you're a gullible goat that will believe anything a higher up will tell you. I'm pretty sure Rioters don't handle permabans friend. I'm honestly never gonna touch this game again, good riddance! I have no reason to prove that I'm the innocent party and I really dont care because my account is already permabanned. I have nothing to gain from getting a couple of people who sit on the boards all day to believe me.

So, what does harassing that kog do to either improve your chances of winning the game, or make the experience for other players better?

I'm guessing you do this a lot. On the surface, it's nothing that's all too terrible. But if you consistently do this, and have continued to after multiple previous warnings, then yes, this can escalate to a permanent ban. Remember that while the ban notice is only showing a single game's log, you were not banned just for behavior in that one game. There were many other games involved in creating your case and resulting in your ban.

Remember, it doesn't matter what kog does in the game. Sure, he picked a non-standard champ for top lane. Big deal. That's allowed. Sure, he didn't do that well. That's allowed, too. Now, if he indeed started harassing you after you first gave him suggestions (in what appears to be a civil manner), then just mute him. And report him after the game. "He started it" isn't a valid excuse in League.

Permanent bans aren't handed out by an automated system. Each one is done on a case by case basis by a Riot employee. Furthermore, instant permanent bans are only reserved for the most extreme cases so either you had plenty of second chances before this one or you're being dishonest about what you said in that game.
