Glad I was banned

I was an ass in the game, have no problem being banned. But the system does not adequately catch people trolling who are not spamming chat. In the game I got banned, the player locked in jungle even though he was slotted for support. I berated him for it because trolls like him get away with that shit all the time. Should I have been banned? I mean I think my actions in 1 game triggering a ban is pretty extreme, but if that's the system they want to use that's fine. But he also should be banned immediately. Trolls who claim they "made a mistake" or have "lag" when they int, instalock, etc. are a problem. Riot should figure it out. Welp no worries there are much better games than league out there.

Did the player assigned jungle give up their lane to this "troll?

If someone threatens to do this and people give in to them, it's much harder punish, because as far as the "troll" is concerned, they may have thought the other player was giving up jungle to them. If someone threatens to do this, get in game and force them to go their assigned role. One of two things will happen: They'll do so, and you are no worse off than if someone was just playing off meta, or 2: They'll troll and steal another lane and/or troll in other ways, and there's now more evidence for you to send to Riot Support.

You talk about trolls who make these claims when you have no proof of the things you're saying. Riot will not punish people just to make you feel better.
