Ranked Rewards for Dishonorable players.

I personally think that it's quite ridiculous that you can spend an entire year grinding to get to gold+, only to have all of the rewards that you've earned be ripped away from you due to getting a single chat restriction. I Got chat restricted almost a month ago and still haven't hit checkpoint 1 of 3 to get to honor level 1 (and i get fairly consistent honors throughout my games). The amount of time it takes to level up in honor after being punished is cripplingly slow even after they supposedly made it easier, and i basically have no chance of getting honor level 2 before the season ends.

So i propose that riot makes it so AT LEAST, since players under honor level 2 will not be getting any of the ranked rewards including your ranked border and victorious skin or any other icons/ward skins, that if the season finishes and you are not honor level 2 yet (and obviously Gold+), you get the victorious skin as a skin permanent shard, but you cannot activate the skin shard until you reach honor level FIVE. I feel like this change would give players a huge burst of motivation to stop being toxic and start climbing up the honor levels since they will have something to look forward to once they get up to honor level 5 instead of it just being an endless climb up to nothing but a loading screen flair.

And you may think "well players shouldn't be toxic in the first place if they know that this sill happen!" and it really just doesn't work like that. you can get chat restrictions just from arguing with someone about the game for a long period of time, or for just saying very mild things over the course of multiple games so you never really expect to be punished. Thoughts?

First off; nice poll, definitely helps people consider your opinion when you try to make opposing opinions seem unreasonable and emotionally charged. Next time, maybe spring for a simple "yes/no"?

Second; If you get punished, it's not supposed to be something you like. If the punishment involves ineligibilty for end-of-season rewards, making any amount of those rewards potentially earnable by players who did not qualify for them would ruin the whole point of the punishment.

If you become ineligible for the end-of-season rewards this year, the goal is for you to understand what you have to lose, so you won't make the same mistakes next year - and hopefully, period.

And you may think "well players shouldn't be toxic in the first place if they know that this sill happen!" and it really just doesn't work like that. you can get chat restrictions just from arguing with someone about the game for a long period of time, or for just saying very mild things over the course of multiple games so you never really expect to be punished. It really just does work like that, though. If you're arguing throughout the majority of the match, you're disrupting the game and spending more time bickering with others than you are playing the game. Hence, why they give you a chat restriction - to make you think twice about getting into long-winded, detrimental arguments.

And if you keep up a negative attitude through the course of several matches, Riot's not just going to look the other way and say "well, he's not flaming, so he's not a problem." - they don't want you being negative, period. They give you some leeway, since it's mild behavior, but at the end of the day, they don't want you spending game after game after game being negative and dragging others down with you. Again; hence, the punishment.

I'd reckon that most players who get into Ranked at least take the time to look up information about Ranked play and the rewards - so they'd have to know about reward eligibility, and that being punished can ultimately make them ineligible for the end-of-season rewards. So if they go on being toxic or consistently negative or what all else - that's on them. They knew that getting punished would mean no end-of-season rewards, but they did it anyway.

Don't want to be punished? Don't break the rules. It's just that simple.

I think motivating players is important, but I do think there's already a good bit of motivation to keep being positive (that don't include end of season rewards). Things like keeping your account, earning loot and keys. I do think that when you are punished, there should be some hit to your loot that follows. That enforces the punishment and makes the getting back to honor 2 all the better.

Normally I would say no, but going from dishonored to honor level 5 is huge. I would be curious how many, if any, have accomplished it. IMO such an incredibly rare feat wouldnt negate the deterrent factor.

This is a great idea, Riots ban Priorities are stupid, you shouldn’t get everything taken away after 1 ban without even a warning. And for the people saying that honor is a season long thing it really isn’t I got honor 5 before mid season just to have it taken away, from my friends trolling me into getting banned. Boom instant no skins no border, which no border is stupid, the skin and wards are ok, but for some people who climbed from the lowest of the Low to gold is stupid even if they were just chat banned, give them at least something to show how far they made it
