got a 14 day ban and while i was looking at the chat logs i got banned again only this time perma

the game client said i got a 14 day suspension and while i was reading it said i got banned again and after that it was a perma ban, why did that happen? shouldnt i just have a 14 day ban like it first gave me?

also chat logs. we won this game btw. also this was after a tilted day but 14 days would have been fine with me but perma after showing me i should have gotten 14 days is just pure bs.

Definitely submit a ticket to Player Support asking abut this.

It's possible that you queued up for a game before the ban hit, got reported IN that game, and triggered the punishment, in which case they may overturn it in favor of letting you serve the 14-day ban.

It's also possible, if one of the reports did not include chat logs, that you got hit with a ban for something non-behavioral (account sharing, scripts being detected, etc) at the same time as you got hit with a behavioral ban.

In either case, Player Support will be able to help you in ways we can't. :)

Assuming the information is correct, it's definitely a double-jeopardy situation (by Riot's definition). While escalation is possible, its unlikely. Instead, it seems you were punished (perma ban) for a game/games that occurred before a previous punishment (14-day ban).

If Riot does not reduce it to 14 days, I'll eat my shoe. Metaphorically.

Once in a while, we see somebody at Riot manually upgrade a 14-day ban to a perma, due to excessive toxicity. While these are certainly toxic logs, I don't see anything to provoke such an escalation.

What's your punishment history? I'm having trouble looking at your match history to scan for previous bans. Have you had your chat restrictions already? How about a previous 14-day ban?

Your best bet is probably just to make a support ticket and ask for an explanation.

Send in a ticket to support. It's a bit strange that you were reading the log and got hit with a perma.

Open a ticket to the support, we cant help you with that. They usually dont give you a perma before a 14 day ban since they believe in people realizing their mistakes during the 14 day ban.
