The amount of afks after the league ads started popping up everywhere increased

Getting an afk every 2 ranked games isn't fun, people just ragequit and never come back.

Why is this happening? Leaverbuster is not a real punishment, let's be real, on a PC game you literally start the queue and tab out and do something else. The punishment should be a 7-14 days ban every time you quit.

And now someone could ask "Yeah but what if they crash or their connection dies?" Detect people that ALT-F4 and/or quit using the in-game menu and there you have it, maybe put a "Account at risk" warning on top of the reconnect button.

Good luck everyone in your next ranked games, thanks for reading my rant constructive criticism.

I agree that AFKs are increasing at an alarming rate, but that's more peoples fault.

I want to touch on this really.

Detect people that ALT-F4 and/or quit using the in-game menu and there you have it, maybe put a "Account at risk" warning on top of the reconnect button.

If this was the case, people would DC/AFK more, knowing there is a method to abuse. Yanking your cord etc.

As with most of Riots judicial decisions it's a balance between abuse, real-cases and false cases. Riot cannot perfectly detect over a million games every day. So these 3 nets must catch them all then they sort some of the mistakes. It sucks it has to be that way, but a perfect system will NEVER exist.

Sure, if they could implement that, I'd support it. As long as its not too harsh. Hell, make it harsh for ranked (but still reasonable to account for the actual rare real life emergency), and less harsh for norms. Just cuz if you queue up for ranked, you better be able to commit to a full game (again, barring the occassional real life emergency). I know I should probably provide some actual parameters, but I would have to take some time and consult with others to come up with some fair reasonable numbers. I definitely disagree with a 7-14 day ban everytime you quit lol.

there should be a ragequit report question pop up for all the team members, and if all 4 players answer yes then punishment for the ragequitter becomes much heavier and the 4 players are allowed to leave the game early, but still lose lp, because if they didn't lose lp it would be ab usable. i think the pop up should come after game, like those survey notifications, and if everyone on the team says that the person was a ragequitter that person get a 1 day ban, increasing on a scale of 1 day every time they get banned again in the next 3 months, because ragequitting should not be hard punishable as players in korea used to do often. This could probrably solve the problem of ragequitters in lol, but knowing they can't ragequit, they could just troll farm jungle/ do random shit to let the enemy team end faster, not stopping the issues of trolls.

They should do the dota 2 maneuver. They have an assessment policy where you start at around 8000 points. If you leave, get reported by teammates or do anything else toxic/bannable this number goes down. if your honoured it goes up. Dota 2 after releasing this program for some time, took all the players below a certain amount (eg. 3000 points or lower) and banned them for 10 years.
