Dealing with people who auto-lock, or don't follow blind pick etiquette.

This thought just occurred to me while I was getting in queue for a blind pick game. As most people know the etiquette for blind pick would to be:

  1. Call a role in chat. (ie. Adc, jg, etc.)
  2. If you call that role first then you can pick your champion and lock in 3).If you don't call a role first or someone calls before you then you call another role or fill the remaining roles.

Unfortunately, in a recent queue I ran into a toxic player who didn't call anything and just got his Heimerdinger ready to play mid lane. As the rest of us followed proper etiquette, we called roles and someone else called mid, but this guy wouldn't leave mid, even though he didn't call it. When the teams locked in and we had no support, I dodged the game(Yes, I know its a rude thing to do but I didn't want to spend 20 minutes losing when I could just wait the penalty and play with a real team)

I thought that perhaps, instead of punishing me(or other players in the same situation) there should be a way to punish the person that is being rather toxic in pre-game. My immediate idea was to add a report button to the pre-game lobby, which would allow the other 4 members to start a vote to dodge the game and get the person a 5 minute ban. (This is just my idea and there is a large possibility that there are better ideas to deal with this issue)

All in all I just really want to be able to jump on and play a game and not have these toxic players making me wait longer or lose the game. (Yes, I'm also aware that I could just chose to play Draft Pick, but that takes a considerably longer amount of time)

Thanks for considering, BTheBeast1121

Norms = Normals + Casuals =/= Ranked

Pretty much all I have to say. There is no right way to play. If someone auto-locks mid and you choose to support, that's on you. You could've gone mid just as easily. Maybe you need a few more years of trying to play nice, before you realize that it takes a toll on your tolerance.

There's nothing you can do and there's nothing you should be able to do because it's a blind-pick game. If you want a more "meta" based game where everyone goes where they're generally "supposed" to go, then wait or play ranked.
