Perma-Banned Player names should be released

Well, their name does become available. Since they're not using it. So eventually it will become available. All depends on when their level and when they last used it.

• Levels 1-6: 6 months of inactivity immunity
• Level 12: 1 year of immunity
• Level 20: 1 year, 8 months of immunity
• Level 30: 2 years, 6 months of immunity

However, I don't know how it is now with the new level cap.

You can, after 3.5 (or is it 2.5?) years. I recovered my old name that got permabanned in season 4 only to get permabanned again immediately afterwards. It'll be available again in 355 days.

Perma-banned players should be unbanned after the PAX/DZK shit.

They shouldn't be released. The famous ones will get taken by mischievous fans who want to abuse the name, and non-famous ones will get taken by the same guy that originally had the name with proxies, if that's even necessary. It'd be easy to check if proxies were necessary, too. Get banned, login with the name, get banned again with your original IP info, setup proxies around it, and login once more. It's like nothing ever happened.

Bannings are already abused plenty. no need to incentivize it by allowing the possibility of a full account recovery.

Perma-baned accounts aren't deleted, only acces is denied. The unic way to that, is delete the accounts, however if they do that, they will lost players (if you knowm what I mean). They will not, sorry.

The reason why is because after a certain amount of time you are able to appeal a perma ban account with support. 2 of my friends got their accounts back this way after being banned maybe 4 years ago and cleaning up their act.

Riot should do the same thing as it was with QQ boosting names in Challenger. They changed all their names to tempname so they are never associated with QQ.

how would you prevent perma banned ppl from gaining access to their old accounts anyway via 3rd party?

I've always wanted to change my name to Il|l||Il|I|Ill

I believe that they dont release them so people who get perma'd cant make a new account with their old name.
