Apparently, people in my games can say whatever they want and not get banned, but i do not have the right to defend myself? People can say whatever they like without the fear of punishment, i can be harassed, discriminated against, and teamed up on; yet i have 0 right to defend myself. How does this community work? I'm suspended based on my peers? "other players judged your comms to be far below the standards of the League community." So because a couple people disagreed with me, and since I've never been banned/stood up for myself against 1-9 possible bullies, I'm suspended. This community is wack, suspension system is wack, and the automatic system is wack. 0 suspensions straight to 14-day suspension. That's absolutely nutty to me.

What use does flaming have in the middle of a tense game? Defending yourself just escalates the situation, continuing an argument that doesn't need to be had.

Mute and move on.

Also, if you received a straight 14 day ban without any restrictions, you either used racial or homophobic language, or you were intentionally feeding.

If you got auto-14-day'd, you used hate speech or something else that immediately triggered an escalated punishment.

Don't "defend yourself" from people. It's beyond pointless. Trolls WANT a rise out of you; that's why "don't feed the troll" is one of the main rules of the internet. By responding to their toxicity with your own hate speech, you've not only emboldened and rewarded people for trolling you, but you also opened yourself up to being banned.

Mute, report, move on.

Yo, you can send in a support ticket here to find out what happend https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us go to submit a request and file a ticket there to find out what chat logs got you banned.

Also no, if you report them they get closer to a ban and if they report you you get closer to a ban. If you trash talk somebody, even as a response you can be banned because trash talking is 100 percent reportable.

Then again if you said something like: "report X for calling me a n*****r" could also get you banned.

Looking at your account history it's not hard to guess why. 6 losses in a row and pretty heavy feeding in most of the matches in your match history (including a bot game lol). Sounds like u were in it to INT it.

How do you manage to lose a bot game tho?

i've recorded every game because when i watch youtube videos on how to play, they say to record my games and see my mistakes. i can send you links of vid's if you'd like! 0 int'ing. i play every game to win. VS bots... did you see my team mates KDA? Thanks for your input though!

Your safest bet is to not speak at all, ever.

You can't be punished for refusing to communicate anymore, so the summoners code as your right to remain silent.

You may be 100% happy and never get sad or depressed, but others don't. It's not a terrible mentality to make sure the maximum amount of people are enjoying the game.

Give me an example of a scenario where 'defending yourself' lessens the toxicity in a game.

Why does something have to be done about it? I could claim to be offended by the color red, and then report everyone who has a red skin. If it offends me, why is my offense suffered not as worthy of action as someone else's suffering. If someone else takes offense, they see justice with their abuser getting punished, why not me?

The whole "I take offense and I demand justice" is the biggest load of shit the world has ever had to deal with, because there is no accurate way of measuring offense. Why doesn't the world just grow up and ignore whoever is abusing them? There is an ignore feature for a reason. Instead of sitting through 40 minutes of shit and then clicking a button after the match, why not sit though 2 minutes and click a button to ignore.

People will abuse you whether you reply or not. Replying only makes yourself feel better, or at least provide some justification to them as to why you did whatever you did to annoy them.

But in that case it did add to the toxicity by making the original flamer start to int instead. Here is the optimal scenario:

Some crybaby starts abusing (He is now toxic) You mute the crybaby You report the crybaby after the game One less toxic crybaby.

In your scenario it would be like this.

Some crybaby starts abusing (He is now toxic) You defend yourself (You are now toxic) He starts to int Inter reports you after game Inters are more likely to be banned One less toxic inter. One less toxic flamer.

In the optimal scenario only a single asshat was verbally toxic, while in yours there were two idiots ruining a game leading to one of said idiots starting to int and ruin it even more for the remaining 3 guys.

You just used a slur against me. How should I respond to lessen toxicity? I could insult your ancestry if that would make you feel better, but that seems toxic to me. In game, I would mute and report. Here, I'll try responding to see if you can provide additional support to your ideas.

Yes, I am expecting you to attempt to abuse me because I responded to you. In game, I wouldn't reply. And I didn't quite understand the structure of the second sentence, so I can't respond properly.

Now you know that the automated system also doesn't like toxicity. From now on, the best course of action is to mute and report. You know it works.

Also, after a 14 day ban, the bar is lowered as to what constitutes toxicity from you, so it's in your best interest to not respond to negative chat.

It sounds like an immediate suspension means you had used hate speech, for which Riot has a zero tolerance policy.

As to "harassing with impunity," toxic chat is punished, plain and simple. When using it, you run the risk of getting punished.

The IFS learns, based on what is reported often, what the community deems unacceptable. That is what it means when it says based on your peers. Comparing your chat to rest of everything that gets reported (with human oversight of the system), your chat fell below what is acceptable. It's not just a couple people. The overwhelming majority does not want physical threats or hate speech in their games. Since you were upgraded to a 14 day ban, that normally happens when someone uses those two things extensively.
