Attempting to circumvent the use of inflammatory language by using a fake, excuse definition that you know is not the widely used meaning of that acronym is not okay. Nobody says “kys” and means “keep yourself safe” - there is absolutely no way you should not know that.

Take this as a warning that Riot does not tolerate anyone telling others to kill themselves, harm themselves, or others, or hate speech of any kind. If you use this type of extremely inflammatory language again, you risk being permanently suspended from League.

given this premise, people ought to use "keep yourself safe" when they mean the latter. sarcasm is usually detectable by people and not so much by bots, don't you think?:P

That depends on how rito teaches the bots. If "keep yourself safe" ever becomes popular and "widely used" to mean kill yourself, rito will ban that phasing too.

Besides, the whole point of an insult is to make the other person feels bad or to enrage said person. If he doesn't know what you mean by "keep yourself safe", is it really an insult anymore? It won't be punishable because if no one knows what you mean, no one would report you...

To be on topic with op, if the darius was being toxic and everyone know he was toxic, op purposely used the phase "kys" with the intention of insulting the darius. Maybe he suddenly remember that kys will get him banned or maybe he thought he could outsmart the system by trying to weasel his way out with "keep yourself safe". Does he think the system is stupid.....or he thinks we are?

I'm about 95% certain "keep yourself safe" is already in the system.

So, is Herald a promotion?

What do you mean already in the system? If I type "keep yourself safe" it auto assumed i meant kys?

Deep Terror Nami1 votes

I think it probably recognizes it as such, I can't say for sure, but Riot isn't blind to common things like this.

That's interesting.

"Kill yourself" is blantantly encouraging self harm (if used in toxic context)

"Keep yourself safe" is at best sarcasm (if used in toxic context)

Im interested to know if the system considered:

"Screw you Nami. You left me to die. Kys Nami, you jerk."

And

"Screw you Nami. You left me to die. Keep yourself safe Nami, you jerk."

...on the same scale of zero tolerant.

Actually, i am even more interested to know if the IFS can even pick up that keep yourself safe as sarcasm, let alone having kys connotation....

how did you think trying to bs the system would get out of a punishment? people arent as stupid as you think

So far I've seen people trying to game the system in this forum by saying it means:

"Keep your salt" "Keep yourself safe"

Nobody's buying it, you're just making yourself look lame.

"Keep your salt"

You forgot one

"Kiss yourself."

"lol, I said something bad but I pretended it meant something else. People will definitely be dumb enough to not see right through my ploy!"

Stop trying to game the system, it won't go well for you. There is literally no possible good reason to say "kys" to somebody in game.

This ban was completely deserved.

kys darius

And now you're a toxic troll like he is, take the high road and just mute him.

Oh and the stay safe part is like slapping someone in the face and saying, keep that face safe.
