I've been a long time player, not really a poster, but I thought I might share an experience with ya'll.

Just got my first ban for 2 weeks for saying "kys %%%got." Before you go crazy with the gavel, I'd like to say in my defense that the player antagonized me all game and I let that out in a burst of rage. Still though I can admit I made a mistake and let my emotion get the better of me. Some games can be intense enough that you lose rational thought for a split second.

Advice Time: Anyone reading this should keep in mind that they should use the mute button for players like I've encountered. It makes it easier to run your mouth when you continuously read insulting language. I will be utilizing this feature in the future.

but at least it seems like (unlike, 90% of this board) you've learned your lesson.

I understand you won't find understanding.

But you're okay. That outburst was understandable, assuming you're telling the truth.

If someone punches you on the street, you don't stay there and do nothing. You punch them back.

But just know, Riot doesn't allow this, so, next time, just use the mute button.

I'm very happy to see these kinds of posts. There are much more constructive ways to deal with frustration and bad situations and you're using one of the protective methods Riot has given you. I hope this is the last punishment we hear about from you and best of luck when you return.

I feel like whoever handles the bans really doesn't care about the situation behind the report. They see "kys *#@&$#" and issue a ban. Done, easy, end of story. Is that the correct way to handle these? In my opinion, no. But that's what happens nowadays when you get slammed with a harrassment charge for looking at someone's crotch. Welcome to the League of Trolls and SJWs.
