I have reported people numerous times while playing 3v3. People constantly botting so they don't have to be playing and their character just sits there or just walks into the turret. Will there ever be a time when reporting people actually works. These people are ruining the game and I don't see any issues being resolved. I can't keep dropping games because of people that don't want to be behind the keyboard while they play.

Riot waits for the botters to reach level 30 to buy RP before they ban the accounts. They don't mind us having a few extra messed up matches. It's very hard for them to prevent the use of cheats, but EXTREMELY easy to detect them. They simply realize 80% of the botters will buy some amount of RP and will wait for that to happen. It is what it is.
This is frustrating for me as well, and I'm not even a new player, just leveling up a new account. I can only imagine the frustration of completely new players. When I first started playing years ago, bots happened but they were few and farther between, making it much easier to learn and play the game.
So far, leveling my new account, I have not had a single game that has NOT had one person on my team using a bot to level with. Unfortunately, there is not currently any motivation for people to not bot, so the new player experience is becoming extremely painful. And without new players, games will slowly wither away and die.
