I see in the LCS and Tournaments people shit talk other teams saying freelo etc etc. But when I talk smack I get 14 day banned :T Ive reformed since my Main account got perma'd. Is talking smack not allowed? If its not than why is the pros allowed to do it ( I heard it was part of the game to shit talk others as long as it doesnt go to the supreme which in my case didn't)

They allow small amounts of trash talk.

When you start overly harassing others, thats when you cross the line.

I used to talk some smack when I first started playing, but I generally try to avoid it now because I know that Riot is super picky about what you can and can't say to other people. Even with smack talk, it might get flagged as "Negative Attitude" if you do it too much in /all chat so you're better off just avoiding it. It's dumb but that's Riot for you.

Personally i think smack talk is unproductive and unnecessary. However the statement about pros getting special treatment is true. Riot only cares about the professional tier, even champ change and balances revolve around their play and opinions. It's unlikely to change let it go. Best advice is don't talk period. I don't anymore.

LCS receive special treatment they get a /pause to change runes mid game

And iirc they get 10 bans without possibility of duplicate bans

"toxicity" is nothing more than an algorithm that the instant feedback system uses. # of reports, keywords and phrases ( many taken out of context btw) kda, etc.

You seem to forget that Pro players, more often than not, are playing with the same people, as well as most of them know each other. So just like among friends there are certain things that are ok to do/say that might not be ok in public. So because of that they get reported much less because its among friends. When you are playing, more often than not you are playing with random people. And to some, certain things are unacceptable. Which is why you need to be careful with what you say. Again these are not your friends, so stop acting like its the same situation when its not!

I've never watched LCS, but historically, if they get reported in normal games, they still get punished.
