Okay, this discussion was probably a lot on forum. Recently, in one of the games, I met toxic Riven player ( don't be offended if you main Riven ). Guy was so toxic, he flamed me for unimportant things such as communicating with my team, pinging etc. My team couldn't play well 'cause of him. We won that game, but he was still flaming me and others. I reported him and for some reason he reported me. Later, after a lot of games and stress, I met that guy again. He was like : " Haha noob, I am not banned, go die in hell ( flaming intensifies ). I reported him again when game finished. Then, when I shut down my computer, I asked myself: " Does Riot checks reports we make?? " Then suddenly my cat said Meow. Never mind. Please response! I don't think so, unless the player has been reported multiple times. Other than that I think its just a system that reviews the case.

Reports merely flag a match for review, adding that match to a player's case. When the player's case gets too big because he's frequently being reported the automated Instant Feedback System will review his case and look for offending behavior according to what he was reported for. If it finds they were consistently or extremely negative they will be punished.

So yes, reports are reviewed for accuracy before punishing, but it's not done manually by Rioters. Riot still does manual review randomly and for fringe cases to ensure system accuracy though.

Yes and NO.

Some things are automated for example numerous reports go to a system that riot checks. One report goes into a bin but it usually doesn't get check mainly because if Riot checked every report, it would never be finished because your looking at 2million something players who report someone probably each game for feeding, toxic, etc.

They manually check a report when said person gets numerous reports in a short amount of games for example, say Tim is a toxic piece of shit. He flames Susie in game 1 for being a ban Janna Main, He flames Billy for not ganking him in game 2, and Jose for feeding Riven in game 3. After a short amount of games, the system flags Tim because of the several reports in a short amount of games for review. Rioter will then decide on the punishment which can be a chatban and if its severe it can go straight to a 2 week ban.

Hopefully this helped a little.
