Is talking about trolling in game a bannable offense?

Gyazo Collection - Bannable?

I recently got a chat ban and lost honor for talking about someone trolling in a game. I was playing a flex game and got jungle. I locked in my jungler and we got into game. In game, the Maokai on our team decided to take smite, and decided that the best chance of us winning would be to duo jungle with me and to steal my camps and take all my xp. I have no clue why he decided to do this, i had never played with him before and had not said a word in pre game lobby. Because of his actions, I asked the opposing team to report him for trolling. Throughout the 21 minute game ( games go by fast when it is a 4v5) I responded to the Maokai's duo mid laner who had accused me of trolling in all chat, I assured the enemy team that i was being trolled and not the other way around. The support on my team decided to start talking with me about what I should do in the situation where I was trolled like I am, and we had a discussion. After the game I received a 10 game chat restriction and lost all of my honor and ability to get rewards. I submitted a ticket, but I was told by the Rioter that responded that by talking about the trolling, I had ruined the game for everyone else in the game. The Rioter claimed that by talking about Negative activity by the Maokai on my team, that I was the one being negative. Is talking about trolling worthy of a punishment? Is talking about negative actions negative? Did I ruin the 21 minute game for my team by talking about a troll? Attached are my chat logs from the game

Asking for reports is punishable.

Also, off question, do you play Elsword?

Jungle Tristana in ranked? Since when is this "meta"? That is kind of troll to be honest.

Asking for reports is a no-no. How would the enemy team know that you're the "real jungler" when they're used to seeing Tristana as ADC? "why would i go adc when im not adc" <- because Tristana is an ADC/Marksman champion? :p

Hmm, well generally speaking, no, talking about trolling isn't bannable by itself. But when it's in the context of "I'm not trolling, I'm being trolling by Player X" and continues to discuss what Player X is doing, then it does start to cross a line about what could be harassment of that player. However, having read your logs, they really don't seem bad to me. Yes, you do ask for reports multiple times, which isn't particularly good. If you'll read a bit more into that article you linked, asking for a report once or twice by itself isn't going to get a person punished. But when it is paired with the rest of the dialogue on complaining about what the Maokai has done, again, it starts to edge towards that line.

Just my personal opinion, but no, I don't really think these logs are worthy of a punishment. As a player, had I been on your team, I would have sighed at the misfortune of the lack of communication in champ select, reminded you that it only takes a single report to flag a game for review by the IFS so there is never actually a reason to call for reports (also in that article you linked), and tried to get you to just let it go and try to make the best of it. Does it suck? Yes. Can you do much about it at that moment? Nope. Do the best you can to win, and report him after.

And always, always, always remember the importance of communication in champion select!! If you want to go a champion in a role that is not their primary role, (and yes, I get that many adcs are being played in the jungle right now, but Tristana's primary role is still bot lane) then tell your team that is what you are doing. Never underestimate the derpiness of players who are playing Hearthstone or Osu or watching some video in champ select and not paying attention. They may not be paying attention. But if you make a point of saying what you intend to do, and letting them know your rationale behind it, at least you know they have no excuse for not knowing. And if they still troll you, they have no excuses against that griefing report.

Playing off meta is not trolling, just communicate your intent with the team.
