Banned for 2 weeks for 1 Toxic Game, No previous account suspensions

Hey, I haven't ever been banned before for anything and was honor level 4. Now I know that generally there is a chat restriction before a account suspension but I just received an account suspension... Is the system suppose to work like this or is this a bug? Any help is appreciated.

Zero tolerance phrases like kys will skip chat restrictions and go straight to a suspension

Telling someone to kill themselves is something very severe and never okay. You should not need a warning something so severe is unacceptable, thus the severe punishment.

Telling a player to "kys" is against the policy and one of the top severity on the zero-tolerance list. Regardless of your intent, no player has the rights to say that. If the IFS or Riot catches a player saying it, they skip two penalties. Straight to 14-day bans. No one has special privileges in this game.

Just so you know, you're now on VERY thin ice. After your ban 14-day ban is up, anything you say or do that is against the Terms of Use that would normally receive a penalty will lead you to a permaban. Because you're on your 3rd penalty, and there's only 4. Your next penalty after this ban will be last unless you go for a VERY long time not getting reported and drop a penalty tier.

If Riot let everyone say awful things to other people and just call it a joke, then we'd have horrible toxicity problems. You could call people n%%%%rs or f%%%%ts and then say it's a joke when you really intend to hurt someone.

So, rather than let a toxic chat environment grow and spread because people are claiming it's a joke, they're saying "get a better sense of humor and stop using words/phrases/acronyms that are meant solely to be toxic to other people"

Again, really, you need to stop trying to convince the forums that Riot shouldn't punish you for saying K%S to someone.

All the forum can do is read the chat logs you provide tell you why you got punished. If you want to get it reversed or lessened because you believe it was an improperly issued punishment, you have to open a support ticket.

Telling all of us on the forums that you and Lee were in on a joke doesn't actually help you at all. It won't get your punishment reversed. It won't get your punishment lightened.

All you're trying to do is convince the community that you shouldn't be punished, when we have no power to change your punishment.

Accept that your sense of humor is unacceptable on Riot's private property or open a support ticket.

So I would like to thank everyone for their replies to my post. So to conclude I must be ever vigilant to never slip up in chat as even one bad game can cause a 2 week suspension of my account after having a completely clean record for the duration. I thank those who responded for their depth and transparency in helping me to better understand Riot's systems in place. I realize that they are a private company and have guidelines they want their player base and community to follow and I will do better to follow them. I thank everyone once more for their time and Goodnight all!

Honestly a really snowflake system to be honest.... If you are gonna 14 day suspend someone who was honor 5 almost all last season, and honor 4 this season for one game, you better get the full context of the game. I never meant to hurt anyone and I didn't... The conversation in the game would show you that what i said was as a joke. I literally told lee to go eat food because he was spam pinging me and plus this was a blind pick game. Like seriously, I have never ever had anything bad on my account and one slip up and just like that 14 day suspension. Its insane!
