You were not chat restricted because others were being bm. You were chat restricted because you were being bm and acting like a jerk.

Something you should know for the future, the actions of others do not excuse your own poor behavior. It doesn't matter what others are doing, it doesn't give you the right to behave poorly. If someone else is being bm, the best way to handle it is to mute/ignore them and report them after the game.

I agree with you, this new chat restriction ban is cancer. I have been playing league for years and not once have I ever seen anyone get a ban. The thing I dont understand is there is a chat filter so if swearing is the problem then why dont people just toggle it on, also isnt that why there is a mute feature so how are we getting banned for some agressive chat? And that little "you are among 5% of players who are toxic" that is BS and everyone knows it. If I reported everyone in every game I played they would get a ban without a doubt. Im actually considering quiting league because of this... Not impressed on these changes

I only read the first 5 lines lol if this happens to you, ignore it and hit the mute button. Don't respond to it, don't get angry, keep playing the game. They can't argue with you if you're on ignore, and you can't argue with them if you can't read what they're saying.

Think about it this way. If a telemarketer keeps calling your phone, are you going to answer and just start cussing him off? Because, he kept calling you right, he started it! ... No, you'd ignore him/her and move on with your life. Apply that to league and you'll be a wonderful spirit. If someone bothers you, hit that mute button with the quickness and never look back.
