Support K/D/A or A/D/K

Hey, I'm a support main and I dont really care about the glory of getting all the kills and carrying honestly I'm happy with being able to tank and protect the real carries so they can do their job. Thats why I play support :P. Though sometimes it gets a little annoying with everyone dumping on the support when they have little to no kills, a decent number of deaths, and an 20+ assists. So how should the support "K/D/A" be seen as in everyone's opinion? should they take kills away from the real carries or just ignore the bm? Also i thought i read in the patch notes a while back saying that for end of the game letter grades count assists as kills for supports so that they steal kills from the rest of the team less with ignite, if someone can send me a link to that patch or a screen cap or tell me im crazy i would appreciate it.

Edit: yes i know im not super high elo but just wondering.

Anyone who calls a support bad for not having a ton of kills and a decent amount of deaths while having 500 assists is an idiot and isn't worth even listening to. They probably don't even focus objectives if they're thinking like that, so they're not even contributing to actually winning the game usually.

Also, yes, they did make kills and assists equal to each other a few patches ago (I wanna say 6.16, but I'll double check).

Mastery grade calculations for supports will be adjusted during this patch.

Since we introduced mastery levels 6 & 7, support players felt even more incentivized to snipe kills to pad their stats and improve their chance at an S or S+. KDA is a ratio, where you have (K+A)/D

anyone telling you otherwise doesn't know enough about the game and you should just laugh at their ignorance (or feel sorry for them).

Just take comfort in the fact that if someone talks shit about your lack of kills as a support, they don't know shit. They're fucking morons. That's some facepalm shit.

The best supports are the ones with little to no kills and and many assists. (They're called SUPPORT for a reason - to assist allies in getting kills and not getting kills themselves. If anyone blames a support for having no kills, they just don't know how the game works.

A/D/K preferably. Sometimes K is more than 0 and that's fine, but Supports want others to get gold (in my opinion)....

They sound dumb for ignoring your assists.
