Low Priority Queue: Suggestions

Could we have it were you get a low priority ban only if other players report you enough. I understand the intention of this restriction to punish players from inconveniencing others by leaving mid-game. But, what happens if you play with 4 other friends of yours and they all have an understanding that you have a child at home. Sometimes, maybe twice at most in a week you have to leave mid-game for 10-15min to feed the baby if the baby wakes up early, then I come back in the game afterwards. My friends don't mind, they're understandable, so I never inconvenience my team, but I still get a five game 20min ban, when this occurs.

My suggestion is to make low priority bans reportable by the team-mates you trouble, not an algorithm that auto bans if you meet the conditions right.

What do you think Riot? Players?

How do you know others didn’t report you in the games that triggered your low priority ban? Regardless, for something as easily detectable such as AFK, players should not have to report for someone to get the punishment - it ruins the game regardless.

There's tons of justifiable reasons to leave games, this system is ridiculous. I leave two today.

  1. Some random friend invites me to normal draft with a full group. I am a friendly person and fill and have a decent score but they start flaming me just cause they're in a bad mood or something, I dunno, who cares. I excuse myself from their company and remove them from friends list. -Settled
  2. I get in queue and say I'm having a rough day while making friendly chat. get into game as jungler, mid intentionally stays long on leash and steals first buff, then in chat types "serves you right" or something like that for god even knows what his motivation was, I think he just wanted to kick someone while down for the sake of it. So again, whatever, if they want to screw around they're welcome to, I'll go find something else to do. So I leave.

Brainless algorithms can't look at context and punish decent players who just don't want to take shit. Some people just like to get you stuck in a 40 min game with them to torment you. That's a fact, and this system enables them, and even rewards them for trolling well by punishing their victims.
