I asked riot for help so they perm banned my account xD

So I had some weird support tickets dating back to 2013 that are showing up on the account I am using now, but was written on the account i used back then. I send riot a support ticket and 36 hours later some one replys saying oh we are putting a "protective" ban on your account because we think it may be compromised. I start thinking and realize that I used the same email for all my accounts. So in the meantime im sitting here with my account PERM banned. Riot clearly states that a perm banned account will not be unbanned for ANY reason. So im fucked. Even if they do lift the protective ban it still wont be for another 36+ hours for some one to look at my god damn support ticket again. Thanks for nothing RIot, last time I ask your shitty support team for help.

...I'm not sure what the issue here is. You got confused between the old and new tickets and asked about Support Tickets you didn't remember, so Riot, reasonably, locked the account to wait for verification that they had the right original owner. Once you reclaim the account it'll be fine, and they'll lift the ban.

That seems like the appropriate course of action to me. You raised a concern about something that can indicate account compromise, so they took the actions they use in cases of account compromise.

uh no, i never asked them to put a protective ban on my account, if they did even a little investigating they would see that all the emails are the same. it took them over 36 HOURS to even reply to my first message, im complaining because I dont have access to my account for god knows how long while the shit tier support team does nothing to help me.

That's why he said that you exhibited behavior that can indicate a compromised account. It has nothing to do with you asking for the protective ban until they can verify. They are doing it to protect the original owner since the person with which they were dealing was exhibiting behaviors of someone who is possibly not the original owner. Social engineering works in some ways that you get SOME information about the account and use that to tease out more information about the account so you can look like the original owner.

Also calling their support team 'shit tier' is not helpful nor would it encourage me to go above and beyond to help you if I was customer support.

Go watch something calming. Cuddle a pet or something to calm down. or some other form of healthy coping mechanism for frustration.

As for exact same thing, no, definitely not. All I did was put your behavior into words. That's precisely what you're doing here, but it is clearly an unhelpful description when dealing with someone in the emotional state that is at play here (which is why I said it slipped past my filter since I was trying to at least say things that could be helpful). As for morally superior, I've said nothing of the sort. That's your interpretation. I'm not saying I don't care about people's opinions. I'm not saying Riot sucks. I'm not saying 'fuck you' to everyone. Definitely not doing the same thing.

Yours is a protective lock, not a punishment. Just be patient and you'll get your account back.

From the sounds of it, yes it should have. The way you describe it would come off as extremely fishy which would indicate that someone who is NOT the owner of the account has access now. I would lock your account as well until I can get hold of the original owner. I'm sure that you'd be just as upset being like "THEY CLEARLY SHOULD HAVE DONE SOMETHING" if it was compromised and they talked to support and with limited knowledge and then just had your account now.

fuck you i am the original owner of the account, how would you feel if you asked riot support a simple question, and the next day you are perm banned from your account. I am mad because i now do not have access to my account and i know how fucking long it takes riot to reply to support tickets. I didnt say i didnt care what people think, just not YOU specifically. I made this post in hopes my account would be unlocked faster.

Riot Support's job in this situation is to make sure that each account is being used by its original owner. I don't entirely follow what happened here, but it seems like they had a reason to be suspicious and are attempting to act in your best interest. Perhaps it's a mistake, and it sucks that you'll miss a couple days of League over it. For all you know, there WAS a real attempt at stealing your account, and they're fixing it for you. For all WE know, you DID purchase or otherwise illegally acquire your account, and outed yourself. That's not a personal jab, by the way. I've just seen several other people do it before.

Try to be patient and respectful with the support staff. They're doing their best to serve and protect you, and they're ultimately human beings.

that is something that i also dont believe, ive asked riot support the same questions over the years and have gotten the same exact response word for word from different "people". leading me to believe that most of the riot support is automated responses and not actually "human beings" as you put it.

That's because it isn't specific to League of Legends. Blizzard, for instance, has the same policy.

They own our accounts and that's why they can ban us if we don't respect their Term of Use.

You can vent your frustration but there is no reason to attack people who are just trying to help clarify your situation. Also if you are going to call me bronze you may want to check my actual rank because you are G5, the same rank I was at the end of last season so there actually is a chance we end up in the same game. But keep attacking everyone, it will definitely make Riot support more willing to do everything they can to help you!
