Explain why I am permanently banned

Hey I just got out of a game with multiple toxic players who reported me. At least one of these players was actively griefing in game. Granted, my behaviour in these TWO games is not admirable to say the least, I don't believe these two games are enough to permanently ban a player who hasn't been issued a chat restriction or a minor suspension.

PS: One thing I've learned while leveling up a secondary account is just how many toxic smurfs there are. These players will knowingly abuse the report system and report people out of spite.

You harassed your teammates in both of these games. As your 14 day suspension message told you, any further negativity would result in a permanent ban, and this is certainly enough negativity to get you there. It is not an excuse if others "started it" or if they were behaving bad themselves. You do not ever have the right to flame or harass someone else, no matter if they are acting bad first.

I have not been issued a 14 day suspension nor a chat restriction.

I don't disagree with the fact that I was not POLITE to my team however I doubt being rude to players in a video game qualifies as "harassment."

In essence I believe I was harshly reported by players who were certainly not my lesser in terms of "harassment" and was issued a severe punishment without warning.

More importantly I believe the reporting system is SEVERELY flawed as you can abuse it, mainly, but also because players who also flame, harass and have a negative influence on the game were in that game to begin with.

So what good is a system that permanently bans a player who tried their best to win their games, when players who LEGITIMATELY do things to make their team lose (and also cause players like myself to be rude to them) are allowed on the Rift?

If you truly have never gotten a prior punishment, you may be able to get this reduced. Looking through your match history, this isn't a brand new account, and you've had it for quite a while. Is it possible you've just forgotten your prior punishments?

Regardless, this type of behavior is harassment - you are constantly trying to blame and shame others for their behavior. They may be bad at the game, they may be actually trolling, but that does not give you the right to be toxic.

This account is less than a year old. How does one go about verifying if I have been issued prior punishments? In the case that I have not been punished, how does one look into reducing a permanent ban?

I trust you are not being intentionally dishonest - my recommendation is to ask support in a ticket why the permaban out of the blue with no prior punishment.

As a non-Riot-employee I can't check for chat restrictions. HOWEVER: You didn't play a single game from 6/12/2017 - 6/26/2017 ... which is exactly 14 days. You played a lot before and after that 14 day break.

So you're asking us to accept one of two options.

  1. You're telling the truth and you weren't banned for 14 days.
  2. The automated system glitched "in your favor" and made a mistake.

Which do you think is more likely from our point of view when you stopped playing the game for exactly 14 days and claim you've never been banned for 14 days hm?

In summary, also a pretty bad behavior game.

I consider the punishment deserved. And if your last punishment was a 14-day, the permanent ban is the next step.

As a first punishment, this should not be a permaban. I never take people's word for it, so my opinion doesn't really matter, as I don't have enough information, but I doubt this is your very first punishment on this account. But again, don't bother convincing me cuz I just never take a strangers word for it online. If this truly is your first punishment, it got escalated because of the use of "retarded", but even then it should usually be escalated to a 14 day ban for first offenders, not perma. Meh... support ticket, good luck.
