So i was banned for being "Unsportsmanlike" behavior and it wasnt even crucial really i wasnt being toxic or anything imo i put my team is ******* but using asterisks instead of bad words and another match i threatened to leave because the ezreal on my team was harassing me. But my thing is why does riot have to ban this way? why can you not get your account back? people change tyler 1 for example, give chances D:. can we go back to the "Level 20 challenge" or even the "Chat restrictions" i mean come on its alot of things we can do besides banning player for being toxic, and it really sucks to see you lost an account because you tossed around a few f-bombs . now im not saying being toxic is okay but maybe riot can try to help these players out like maybe they can permanently take away your chat or add tons of chat restrictions but i dont think permanently banning people is helping at all . please consider changing it again i feel like you just put a band-aid on something thats broken :( EDIT: apparently this is not a place to give suggestions and consider changes . i feel like no one here has an opened mind and is just attacking me imo you're all toxic im literally getting downvoted lmao .

They tried the level 20 challenge, and discontinued it because it wasn't successful. They tried endless chat restrictions, and discontinued that because it wasn't successful.

You will not lose an account for cursing -- you will lose it for abusing other players which can, yes, involve cursing AT them. The account loss is the punishment for your behavior, and Riot has stated they will not (and have no intention of ever starting to) unban players who have been permanently banned.

Tyler1 is in a different situation than you. You currently have the ability to make a new account and Riot won't try to stop you. Tyler1 is however ID banned. This means that if he is caught playing league at all his account will be immediately banned, regardless of his behavior.

Permanent bans are permanent for a reason, if you receive a permanent ban it's basically Riot telling you that you don't fit in with community standards on sportsmanship.

Permanent chat mutes were tried, however Riot noticed that players that received this punishment just resorted to gameplay trolling instead.

The level 20 challenge was very rarely completed successfully for the same reason.

TL:DR, players that get permanent bans are extremely unlikely to reform. It happens, but it's super rare.

I fucking curse all the bullshitting time, and it doesn't fucking matter a good goddamn. Riot doesn't fucking care about shitty little curse words as long as they aren't used in a harassing manner, and as long as they aren't slurs or calls for violence. Ass and bollocks.

I mean you were unsportsmanlike and you were threatening to leave the game because one person, who you could mute, was tilting you.

What about your other teammates? You leave them in a 4v5 situation because you're titled and that's fair to you?

You can make a new account and learn from your mistakes. I never understand why people sit there reading what someone is typing to them that is titling them and instead of muting them right away, you wait saying things that'll end up getting yourself into trouble when you can mute them the second you see them being toxic. If they're feeding the entire game, just take it on the chin and report them after the game.

consider this, any random person at any random time with honor 5 0 penalties can snap at any random time. now how is riot suppose to foretell this and ban the toxic person when they just out burst for the first time?

how would you learn to change if the punishment didn't hurt?

  1. General rule of any forum like this; don't mention your downvotes. As far as anyone's concerned, they don't matter. They're just there primarily to show how many people agree or disagree with a given post/comment/etc.
  2. It's kind of hard to be open-minded when you're not actually suggesting any changes to the system. Bringing back old efforts that were deemed failures isn't a bright idea, and elsewise, you're just making vague comments about "the system can be better!" without actually giving ideas.

So, if you're here to give suggestions or consider changes, go for it, but don't assume people are close-minded and unwilling to hear any ideas.
