How to find fair games

Can someone please tell me how to play against other new people trying to learn this game? I tried normals, I tried custom games, I tried ranked. Always matched against people who have been playing way longer and flip out like crazy when I mess up cause i didn't know what a champ i havent seen before can do and stuff. Even tried leveling a separate account up to 30 so I could play other new people, but even at summoner levels 1-5, no one is new. It is just smurfs that flame you for being actually new.

Did I screw up a setting or something? I'm told I am about the worst player anyone in the game has ever seen, but the game matches me against gold players, sometimes a plat or two. Why is it doing this? How do i play against other bad people? It is incredibly hard to learn when you're playing against people so ridiculously more experienced than you, and the only feedback or advice anyone gives is 'kill yourself', 'uninstall', 'play better', etc. which is entirely unhelpful.

Is the right answer to just uninstall? Like the community just gets itself off on bullying newer players so much that it's impossible to learn? Is there a way to like, request Riot to lower me down to a league I actually belong in or something?

TBF 80% of the league community is bad compared to me, that doesn't mean I think I am better than them. Its a meteric(aka my ranking is above 80% of the current community)

I mean /muteall would solve your problems about the flamers.

In any online game, there will always be people telling you, that you are the problem on the team. There is not a single online game that has a new user friendly community.

Ex: new to raiding, you are scrublord king, wiping on trash Ex: new to moba, you are scrublord king dying to jungle Ex: new to shooter, you are scrublord king not using knife to pubstomp Ex: new to fighter, you are scrublord king not using the most complicated 15 step combo to 1 shot your opponent

All online games are like this, sorry

Suggestion: just play at your own pace, watch some streamers, some youtube about league gameplay and in no time you will understand about 90% of the game

You're kind of dick by starting with "80% of the league community is bad compared to me" So really anything you say after that statement is coming from a jackass point of view.

Need some sugar for that high horse of yours?

I don't disagree I am a dick :D But if league gives a metric, then you can validate your statements :D "that doesn't mean I think I am better than them" directly follows up my dick statement

Problem is guides/streams/etc. don't give feedback for if you're interpreting and understanding correctly. Also, very few explain 'why' they do things, just 'I used this build and got this score'.

It is really difficult to know if you are actually developing and learning and understanding or not without feedback.

You're right there is no 100% comprehensive guide http://www.lolking.net/guides/2514 an example of a good guide but lolking does have very good guides for alot of heros not all heros as some may be outdated or unused they are user submitted and user rated, so good guides get high marks bad guides no marks

In response to feedback, if you check the team recruitment board. Occassionally you will see a coaching offer on there You're speaking of coaching for instant feedback. Im suggesting self learning

Streamers/Guides are for self learners Coaching is for everyone else

the correct answer is indeed to uninstall, the new player experience is indeed excruciatingly terrible.

also seriously ask yourself why do you want to play against other bad people if you claim to be bad yourself and want to improve? are you just looking to stomp even newer players because that is not how you improve, you improve by challenging yourself and seeing if you can go toe to toe with better players then you use that knowledge to climb/win to their level. you aren't treating any of it as a learning experience if you simply just want to style on newbies.

Grug, there was nothing in any of that can be helpful to someone trying to learn. I specifically stated in the original post that the experience gap makes it incredibly difficult to learn since there is no feedback. You can't judge any progress/development/right or wrong actions you make in the game- it creates match-ups where your opponent is always two steps ahead (which items to buy to counter which, whether or not it's an okay time to be aggressive in the match-up, etc.). This forces you to play a very conservative, uncreative game to damage control the match-up and avoid throwing the game.

These games are wasted from the learning perspective since in being forced to play safe, you are left with very little room to try to identify when you may have an advantage (e.g.- if you just got ulti and its a bigger boost to you than your opponents 6 is to them). Moreover, it creates a very punishing play environment where 'don't feed' can be the defining factor of having a good game, developing habits of damage control that can be detrimental to developing and maintaining an advantage. It teaches you to be a player very good at losing slowly, but severely limits your ability to practice making good use out of your champions strengths.

I am not interested in playing Worse players. 'Styling on newbies' would be just as aweful... developing bad habits of sloppy play that receive no feedback cause the opponent fails to capitalize on the mistakes.
