No Riot. I do not agree that I will be able to stay in every game I start.

So, when you disconnect from League for any reason and come back into the game, after probably an already frustrating game, you come to the end of the game and get this slap in the face, arrogantly explaining that "Leaving the game is disrespectful" and it makes you sign off to say that you agree to not leave any further games.

Not saying that we understand some circumstances.

Not saying that sometimes computer shit happens.

Just saying "You agree never to leave". You know. That boiler-plate message that "justifies" giving you a whatever-hour ban for leaving two games in a row or whatever.

You know what Riot? No. I do not agree. Right after starting the game, I ran into a computer error and my computer experienced a major failure that I still have to research the damage from. I came back into the game and got this lovely message and it wouldn't let me click past until I filled out I agree.

Change this message. Make it more respectful and less legal-ham-fisted.

Having good equipment and a stable internet connection is on you the player. If you know you are having computer/internet issues then that's your fault. You don't get that message after leaving just one game, it's leaving multiple games. If you have computer issues, fix them before playing. If you are having problems with the client, uninstall League and re install it.

Unless something's changed without my knowledge, this is false. The message to which the OP is referring happens after the first leave acquired on a given account, and is meant to function as a warning.

From my perspective, the core issue being presented by the OP is that the notification the client throws at you when you get your first Leave is callous and unreasonable, not a complaint about being punished for the leave. I actually agree with him/her, I feel like that message basically functions like a slap in the face rather than a friendly warning.

I know when I installed windows 10 League caused my computer to crash. I would usually try to get back into game right away, but it took me about 6ish games before I got that message. Looking into it further here,

I JUST DISCONNECTED FROM TWO GAMES! AM I GOING TO GET BANNED? No, your account will not be banned. However, it is possible to be punished for leaving just 1-2 games. Players who leave games will be placed in a low priority queue and will be required to play 5 matchmade games without leaving before exiting low priority queue.

Note: Leaving ranked games is considered more severe than leaving normal games.

ARE RANKED, NORMAL, AND CO-OP GAMES TREATED DIFFERENTLY? Ranked is treated much more severely than normal when it comes to leavers. Games in which a player is considered a leaver always count as losses for them, even if their team is victorious.

Hey, no worries! LeaverBuster has two parts, the actual punishment/priority queueing system and the initial popup thingy the OP mentioned. The first time you leave a game for any reason (since the popup's release about a year ago), it gives you this notification that forces you to agree to never leave any subsequent games; the wording in the notification basically insinuates that every leave is intentional, which is kinda annoying.

I agree with you too, if a player's getting leaves it's important to get that fixed before continuing to play games.

I already apologized to the OP for the "getting popup after 1 game" issue.. However having a stable internet connection and working equipment is the player's responsibility.

Staying in a game that you start is pretty much the minimum that is asked from you when it comes to playing League, so, yeah, if you can't consistently stay in the game due to shitty hardware, sort that out first.

IDC if it sounds elitist, it's asinine to play with people who can't mantain a stable connection to the game due to their computer/internet being ran by hamsters.
