So I Just Finished My Chat Ban ... Wow Riot ... Just Wow ...

All chat ban does is makes it so for the next 10 games i am unable to properly communicate with any of my teams, Which just causes more problems then it solves, I was banned cause i went hard on a player who was intentionally feeding because he had to go ADC and apparently did not want to, so he decided to intentionally feed and he even announced that he is intentionally feeding, a point that the chat logs they showed conveniently left out instead only showing what i said instead of what he said to cause me to say that, oh and he did this in RANKED!!!! I understand i should not have been mean like i was but at that point its justified, hes declared he has given up and is feeding in ranked of all things, and he also engaged in the same chat abuse, and i doubt he even was punished for anything ...

so here i am for the next 10 games just unable to do any constructive communication with my teams, so like when i had a support rage and swap lanes 5 mins in leaving bot ADC to 2v1, i was unable to try and resolve the situation, instead i am left just to communicate with a mad flurry of pings till i can finally talk again, but at that point the 2 of them already threw so much hate at each other it was beyond repair ... Seriously riot what good does it do? 9/10 i am a peace keeper in league i don't call people out for having bad games or making bad plays, i only go hard on people who openly admit they are feeding or are beyond obviously feeding or people who troll their team mates for making bad plays or having bad games ... I should have received like a warning first without chat ban, or like you should make chat probation, like if i go 10 games without being reported again for my chat then i don't get punished, but if i do then you initiate the chat ban.

A chat probation system would actually be more effective and would also not allow good players to be punished for no reason other then dealing with the toxic community using the same toxins as them. By not limiting the actual chat and instead just making it so that if they on probation if they get reported again then they get punished it makes it a lot fairer then just being flat out punished for nothing especially if you get banned by an automated system.

TLDR: CHAT BAN SUCKS AND DOES NOT WORK SHOULD BE A PROBATION SYSTEM INSTEAD!

EDIT: I was going to fix this post so that people could actually understand the point i was making, but screw it, if the point was missed the first time that's not my fault ...

Seriously riot what good does it do?

It reminds you your behavior is a problem, and gives you 10 games where it's harder to tilt in chat due to the lower number of messages you can send. In short, it provides an opportunity to reflect on your behaviors and develop a plan to improve them before you get full chat permissions back.

What the chat ban is trying to teach you is that how you were previously using chat was incorrect. You were already not properly communicating with your team.

Ah, you've already noticed that you're being toxic. ..... Uh.... Yeah, you know, if you want your toxins to be unpunished, that would mean, since the system treats everyone the same, that their toxins, that annoy you so much, would also have to be unpunished. Or, if you want their toxins to be punished, that means, since the system treats everyone the same, that your toxins should also be punished.

No one appointed you to the post of enforcer. Riot is the enforcer of the rules. Report the people who break the rules. Don't try to punish them yourself. Especially since your "punishment" is actually the encouragement they're looking for.

Sucks that a good game is ruined by this Instant feedback system. Riot makes so much money it's a shame they can't create a better player behavior system. Fire Tantram and co and hire a better team, make our money spent on this game worth it.
