is there a way you can get the chat from in game?

i ran into a player who sat afk in base and called me and a teammate racial and homophobic slurs all game and threatened to "beat my ass" (not that im worried hes gonna come do that) and proceeded to say he doesnt care if we report him. this is one of the few times i feel like someone shouldnt be playing this game with how he acted.

I dont know if this is a habit of his but shit like that shouldnt be a reoccurring thing before a player at least catches a chat ban.

Racial and homophobic slurs get people a 14 day ban minimum on the first reported use. If you reported him, he'll be dealt with.

Sounds like you instigated him. Your participation in such vitriol conversation can land you a punishable ban. Take heed to the summoner's code. Riot is always watching.

people just dont blurt out racial / homophobic slurs for no reason. Usually, a conversation starts and escalates to what you have described. A conversation takes two parties and you are omitting your side of the story.

99% of threads in PB are about this very topic: 'teammate made me defend myself and i was banned for it' (no chatlogs fyi)

Due to the commonality of these type of incidents, i'm inclined to believe that you were somewhat involved. I don't know to what degree but Riot will dish out necessary punishments.

While I tend to agree with you, I have experienced that kind of behavior unprovoked. The OP in this thread has said nothing about being punished themselves, just that they saw the behavior.

You are correct that the vast majority of threads here are about "I was punished, but I shouldn't have because _" or "Can my perma ban be reduced to a chat restriction?", but this thread indicates no such topic.

You also may have mistaken me for the OP. I have no more insight into the situation than you. Easy mistake to make; no harm, no foul :-) I can assure you, though, I was not involved in any way, shape, or form

OP here, if i was worried about reprocussions of what i said i wouldnt take it to the boards. provoking? im sorry i ensure you that i said nothing of the sorts to push him into going to a racial or homophobic direction lol it all started off of me saying "dont ping to gank if you arent in lane yet" and it was allllll downhill from there starting at "suck my dick" ending at "fuck you n*****" and phrases of the sorts lol idc how much someone gets mad at me or flames me, it doesnt even cross my mind to call him a racial/homophobic slur or threaten that person over a video game.

mainly because

its a video game
your race or sexual preference shouldnt be used as an insult
its a video game

reason for post was to see if there is a way to get the chat from game so i can make sure this ban happens, not arguing with someone saying i may have pushed him into being racist.
