I've been suspended unjustifiably. Why, Riot? Is this how Riot treat players?

Vexdy·7/30/2016, 1:13:22 PM·1 votes·1,633 views

Hello, my in-game username is Vexdy, and I'm an old player of LoL. As a matter of this game being my favorite, I dedicate my half of time to this, playing matches, and trying so much to the extent I sweat because of the hardwork. And it even reflects my real life. I get so tensed, and annoyed sometimes, due to intentional bad playing from certain players, in most matches, that they neither listen to you, nor stop the bad-play. This being the cause, in the case of a honest and hard-working player, it's obvious that he/she may get upset, annoyed and highly disturbed due to this, and so can be triggered helplessly to reflect back, but that doesn't mean it's his fault. The reason I am writing this is because the same has happened with me, and I can't last a day without playing League, but then League, just..just suspends my account, without even inspecting the case entirely, each part, and how it went wrong. Surely, there has to be a reason, as to why a certain thing has transpired.

So, here's my reason, that I'm justifying:

I've climbed to Bronze 1, numerous times, and then due to loss of matches, due to trolls/afks/intentional bad playing/toxic players, I sometimes have lost like 12 in a row, not because of them, but their bad play has reflected upon my confidence, which led me to a condition as such, losing 12 or more in a row. This is because I'm annoyed, upset, and I've lost confidence, that I fail to carry even matches with chances to be victorious in.

So, I constantly try, try, and then I lose two in a row, either due to afks or intentional bad play from certain players (who neither listens to you, nor wants to stop the bad play). So, just imagine, in case of a player, who yearns badly and wants to win, one after one, he keeps playing matches, even though he loses more than he wins, yet he tries.

Then, this happens with him, he's fed up, and is absolutely helpless, so he resorts to venting out his anger, finally, as he's totally fed up, and mad, because he loses time, even his meals, most of the times, for this is how much he loves the game, and wants to be good at it.

But, why? Yes, I've flamed them, and in a match, where the score was entirely upside down, and I was totally fed up, so I wanted to like let them finish this asap, 'cus my team was neither surrendering nor helping it out.

Then, I'm suspended for 14 days...why? I'm playing more than 10 hours a day, just to get myself out of this bronze, but then what League does to me, is just.... Do I deserve this, because I've flamed them? Really? But if you tell me, that I've no right, does it mean that I'm so helpless that I can't do anything even to justify my anger? Why? Does Riot just blindly depend on chatlogs? And that too mine? And it's like, yes he has been like that, so ban him? Why? Why doesn't League do justifiable judgements? Such intentional bad plays should be stopped. This is wasting the time of honest and hard-working players. And you ban them, because they were helpless to do anything so? Why, if I vented my anger, I am suspended? Why me? Why not them? Even though, they were the really guilty ones. This is totally injustice. Yes, even it's a 14 day suspension. I want this removed asap, because I totally do not deserve it, and I almost destroyed my entire gaming system, due to this. Another loss, after my account suspension.

Really, League, if you want people to play this game, at least, be JUSTIFIABLE, because we pay, we dedicate time, and our love. But this is what happens to us? I was right on flaming, and wanting the match finished, because WHY waste time on a score that is like 9 vs 36. WHAT ARE THE DAMN CHANCES? My anger was justified.

I do not know how to tell this, but, I beg of you, remove this suspension, and I promise you, I'll reform, forever because I can't last a day without League, and I do not want to create a new account. Please don't tell me that this suspension will make me learn something, for I'll be helpless to do anything, but just quit League. I'm a honest player, and a devotee.

Remember, if this happens to every other player like me, trust me, no players = NO LEAGUE.

If we play this, only then League will exist, so don't lose your users. No, this is not a threat, but I'm not that helpless either.

Thank you.

Yes, being negative towards people is offensive behavior, and you were banned for 14 days, which means you've already had two separate chat restrictions.

Just because people upset you and don't play as well as you doesn't give you any right to tear them apart. You wouldn't dare do it to someone in real life, so I'm not sure why you would assume it's ok to do it in a public space online.

You know the consequences of expressing negative behavior, and yet you continue to do it. You could always vent IRL, yell out your window, punch a pillow, whatever, and avoid venting in game. You really need to find a way to vent that isn't in the game, because at this point, if you accrue enough reports against you to be punished again, you will be permanently suspended.

A banned person gets defensive when someone mention about their chatlogs, definitely not hiding something. http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/2251216695/1?tab=overview

Punishments do not get removed unless they were wrongly given, and based on what I am seeing here it is highly unlikely. You were punished because you were creating a negative experience for the players in your games. It doesn't matter if you are having a bad day, or if someone is aggravating you for some reason or another; you are still accountable for your actions. When this happens you should take a break and cool off, not force yourself to keep playing.

All punishments are justifiable. Chat related punishments are on a tier based system, with the punishment you got being the third. You get two chat restrictions before that and a permanent suspension after, assuming that you didn't do anything to skip tiers. They are based entirely off of what you were saying in the game, and doesn't take other players into account.

As for other punishments, Intentional Feeding is an immediate 14 day suspension, but is significantly more difficult to track. This is even more true at lower ratings, like yours. Bad plays happen, and they can't be punished for trying.

You are right though: League depends on its players. That's why they punish the ones who create a negative experience; creating a healthier environment makes a better experience for everyone, and therefore attracts and holds more players to the game. To that end, removing a few "dedicated" players that create a negative experience for others is the best course of action.

"Well I felt upset" isn't a good enough reason to let people ruin others' gameplay experience. It doesn't apply to feeders, it doesn't apply to ragers. I don't know what else you expect people to say.

You seem about as tense as a cat in a room filled with rocking chairs. I understand you're angry and frustrated, but you're lashing out at others here. It doesn't present you to be a rational, logical, nor mature individual.

Simply put, if your punishment has escalated to a 14 day suspension, you have either been previously punished or your behavior was deemed bad enough to go straight to the 14 day. Either way you are on thin ice. Unless you want the account permanently banned you need to truly reform.

How you are acting in this thread is the exact reason why you got yourself in trouble in the first place. You're coming off as aggressive, erratic, and argumentative. In all honesty, it sounds like you need a break to cool down. You're simply winding yourself up more.

If you are not in the ELO you are supposed to be in, you should be easily able to identify mistakes the enemy is making and capitalize on it. Forcing the enemy to play at your tempo instead of theirs.

I can do this even as a support main.

But if you suck, you probably can't see the plays others are doing and are blaming them as trolls instead.

The rest about you complaining about others, tldr. But probably well deserved punishment.

Well lets start from the top.

You're really bad at league of legends. Like awful. You have no excuse for not being able to get out of Bronze. It's really not your teammates. I recently climbed out of bronze with a 90% winrate on Amumu (Not an exaggeration, although it has since dropped to about 75% while going through Silver with friends).

If I can win 90% of my games, there's no reason you can't win 50% (all you need to climb in this game these days is 50%. Riot has made climbing easier to reduce ragers like you). You need to stop pointing blame at other people, and point it at yourself. What can I do to get better. How could I have carried that game.

I've been toxic, I have bad days when I'm upset. In fact, I am overly toxic quite often. I understand the game probably better than you ever will, so if anything my experience playing with low level players is even more infuriating than yours. And yet I have never once on any of my accounts, ever been chat restricted, not on any of my accounts over thousands of games.

Just because people make mistakes or are really bad is no reason to be toxic to them. That's not a justification.

TL:DR You deserve what you got. You're overly toxic. Be toxic to yourself, not to others.

Hold on, did you get a 14 day ban for intentional feeding. Am I reading that right?
