Why is he so popular on the boards these days? who is he?

Riot banned him for a whole bunch of stuff now all of his streaming fanboys who thought watching him feed, flame, and what not was funny are upset.

Pro players can be a good tool to explain who he was, but for a short run-down:

Tyler1 was someone who streamed League of Legends content for many to watch. He was a known Draven One-Trick-Pony, and if he never got to play his Draven, or had 'bad' teammembers, then his first reaction was often to troll, afk, or intentionally feed games all the while ignoring the Summoner's Code as a reponse.

After being banned on multiple (read: 19 times and counting) accounts, Tyler1 was eventually issued a permanent ban on his main account, and as a result he has gone out of his way to advertise toxicity through his bannings.

Now, while many will say he is trying to reform, if what he does is explicitly to be toxic, and has multiple cases of proof of him ignoring his teammates and going out of his way to feed and troll, all the while on the public image of being toxic, even though he said he WASN'T going to be toxic anymore, then that shoudl be straight-forward as to why Riot did the permanent ban.

The community, on the other hand, is what you're seeing. Much of the same way as Dunkey, it's a group of people debating the ban, and contorting what Socrates said into a message of Riot saying any advertisement of the game of any caliber can be removed on the spot, regardless of the creator himself.

Simply put, and very quickly put: Tyler1 was a toxic, high-elo player who abused his high elo and his popularity to advertise flaws as well as toxicity in a community. Instead of stopping, he continued it, and Riot responded with a permanent ban of his main account.

In all fairness. It didn't help that players were constantly trying to agro tyler1.

Just look up videos and you can see countless players trying to get him to flame. I found it hilarious in qtpie's video when he said "Stop before i verbally assault you" but nonetheless, in that game they were trying to set him off.

I'm not trying to deny that he wasn't a very toxic player, however don't you think those people that talked shit to him should also be punished? After all If i talked down to an intentional feeder in my game, I would be punished. :P

Saying it now: I don't condone those who puruse agitation to force someone to be toxic. They're held at as much fault as Tyler1 is.

The problem with those scenarios, is that it's spread around the community, NOT just one player. If someone one-offs their behavior, unless their behavior is deemed too heinous to be kept, they'll be ignored or be warned that they said something they shouldn't have.

With Tyler1, all of his cases were NOT one-offs. None of his cases were only one diction points. Sadly, even when people DIDNT agitate him, he went on to be toxic based solely on the scenario he was premised in, without acknowledging that what he was doing is 'illegal' in Riot's system.

Also, you talking down to the intentional feeder, while not a good thing in riot's eye, is ok so long as you don't exacerbate the argument further. If you one off, then mute and focus on the game, you're actually held a bit further as an argument for trying to talk sense. Although, be wary that even trying to talk your version of 'sense' can be misconstrued for trying to antagonize the argument further. Just gonna let that be known.

I thought ignoring your team-mates wasn't a ban worthy offense? Especially if they have upset you and you have /mute all and cant hear anyone type and also have pings off so you hear nothing?

It isn't. With the case of Tyler1, even though he did go out of his way to mute people or sometimes cut communications off, he had proof of holding extreme toxicity even with that in mind.

I'm not saying the actual mute is ban worthy, nor the process. The evidence dictates what it does and how to condone it, and unfortunately with Tyler1 that evidence was apparent to contradicting his claim of reform as well as the community claim.

not important who he is...apparently 19 permabanned accounts...extremely toxic...trying to reform...not really...only notices hes losing money...has dumb fanbase running down mid in ranked in his name...who cares...in short...hes history
