Banning Hovered Champion

Not sure how many games I've been in where someone has banned a hovered champion recently but it's gotten to the point where banning has become a tool for preemptive trolling. In the past day or so I've been in 4 or 5 games where someone has banned a hovered champion whether it was mine or someone else's and was pretty much a toxic asshole the entire game. I have zero tolerance for trolling so usually I mute them and endure a game with them if that's the case, but there is no feature in place to prevent a hovered champion being banned. To have my game ruined from the get go and have to dodge and be punished for someone else ruining my fun is incredibly backwards to me. Why is it that when I hover a champ and it's purposefully banned to make me tilt and for them to get enjoyment from it, I get punished and they can hop into another game and continue with their dumb antics? Can't there be a system in place where a hovered champion is unbannable? To clarify this only applies to your teammates. The enemy team can still ban the champ you hovered regardless if you are hovering it or not just like it works right now. This is just something I've been finding that's plaguing my games recently and had to write about this. Maybe something will happen maybe not.

As a side note someone said "Well some people ban champs specifically because they don't like that champ and never want to play with them. So they ban that champ every game and regardless of whether your team wants it or not they ban it." That sounds incredibly self-centered and not team based at all. I don't like many champs myself Master Yi for example. Ban him frequently, Kayn too. But if my team hovers one of those I let it go because they specifically wanted that champion. And I'll endure the game or dodge because it's my problem if the enemy team picks up the Master Yi or Kayn before they did.

I don't see what the issue is. Unless you are first pick, you should be picking based on the enemy team anyways. If you show Malphite top and they pick Rumble, would you really still mindlessly lock in as Malphite? I don't see hovered banning as something to get so upset about. It is mildly inconvenient at best. Not something to tilt over. The only people I could see that should possibly have an issue with it is true one trick ponies who have 99.9% of their mastery points on a single champion. Said people will just dodge if this happens.

"I'm a narcissistic prick that bans your pick because I know better and because I can". Would be a more swallowable argument than all these vomits defending an otherwise appaling action.

They ban you, you ban them, build the animosity before the game even start seems like what they want. You know all those good drivers on the road that helps making everyone safer including the bad drivers? I say F it here, let's all hover ban to the point where hovering and banning is completely broken and 50% of games start with bad blood amongst teammatess.

Very logical thing to do.

The only time I consider it justified, is if a person is hovering one of the OP champs AND are a low pick on the totem pole. You're never going to get Akali or Irelia last pick, sorry man. It's just not gonna happen. Leaving it up is going to mean that THEIR team gets it and you STILL don't get it.

Aside from that... ya it's pretty horrible.

Unless it's a contested pick(look at the champs top 10 pickrates in each role + look at banrates), don't even hover. Even with my main being ahri, i've had more people ban my champ because "they don't want another egirl trash ahri" than i've had people actually ban it not wanting to play against it.

The conversation has seemed to transfer to what happens during Ranked play. Something I'm not familiar with and frankly don't give a damn about. Normals is what I'm talking about and that frustrates me incredibly when trolls who ban someone's pick get laughs and no punishment. All I want is a system in place to curve this.
