When's Riot going to stop perma banning? its wrong in many cases.

This is league of legends Support, haven't played in years and I come back to this pile of disappointment. Not to mention running away with tons of cash giving the person no way to recover the money they spent and they just turn around and ask you to make another account so they can pull more cash. sad to say the least.

I think the key here is that you weren't hacked -- you let a friend play on the account (a violation in and of itself), and your friend violated the terms of use with a third party application (it seems). That is, sadly, the risk you take when you let someone else use your account -- and one of the reasons that account sharing is prohibited to begin with (in addition to the possibility of someone getting your personal financial information).

I'm not sure what Riot could have done better here -- they seem to followed exactly the terms and conditions they lay out in their terms of us, and you seem to have willingly handed your login information to someone who didn't end up being trustworthy.

Still, I do understand the situation isn't fun to be in. So I'm sorry for that. :(

I'm really not seeing where they are at fault here. Everything that led to you losing your account was a direct result of your actions.

It's a video game. I'm not playing in LCS. Why the fuck can't I share with my friends and family?

I think they should ban people from ranked but allow them to play blind pick normals.

You had a grand invested into this account... and you let your friend play on it? :X This just sounds like you got hit with a dose of real life and consequences and haven't had enough experience with it before this point. Think of this as experience, now when your buddy asks if he can borrow your car but doesnt have a license and isnt on the insurance, you can think back to this account.

Sounds like a legit ban to me.

  • You agreed to the Terms of Use when you created your account and then subsequently admitted to violating them.
  • You (or someone using your account) used third party software
  • Your account was not compromised

What's not to understand here? The ban is as legit as can be.

I understand a mistake on my part, but why does a PERMA BAN need to be necessary when handling almost all actions..

I Know it sucks a lot, but account sharing is one of the highest listed Things that is not allowed.

Then, your accusation of Riot being scammers is wrong and just shows you let the Tilt get on you, reason why is as stated:

In the ToS it is listed that you agree to their rules and licenses, and in turn they allow you to use THEIR Property for your own joy and fun. You are able to, but not restricted or forced to purchase ingame content for the sake of aesthetics and bragging rights, but those Things are, per say, "BORROWED" from riot in exchange for a Price. when you sign the ToS you agree that upon violating the contract riot is allowed with all rights to fully reclaim what is already theirs at no costs.

Edit: Long story short, it is just as they say, your account your responsibility, if rules were broken with it, then you bear the costs for it. It is like parenthood, if your child gets hurt, you are responsible for not watching over it. No excuses. Next time don't give your stuff to anyone, or if you do, tell nobody (Which i do not recommend, but won't disregard as an existing option either)
