I understand I'm banned, but why not the others in game?

So I logged back in to find I have been 10-Game chat restricted, not horrible, and it's my first ban EVER, and I TOTALLY understand why I could/should have been banned, considering I was moderately toxic, however that is not the issue. The issue is as follows;

I cursed, and since the game is supposed to be slightly above E10+ and below M rated, It should be acceptable unless used in a slurring or degrading/derogatory way, (Only instance I did this was saying "F*ck" to somebody).

I talked about "inting" without actually doing it, and it wasn't a threat that I was going to int, but instead that I had inted early, in the sense that I fed, but not on purpose.

And now we get the main point: My toxicity/ban-worthy behavior was in NO way comparable to what was happening in game OR being typed by teamates.

Here is the transcript of the game BEFORE the ban: Leona was very toxic to me FIRST, and i only replied as a retort to her, never actually inted, trolled, ANYTHING, meanwhile she defaulted to flaming and purposefully letting me die bottom lane, along with refusing to apologize or try to help win.

I never actually inted, or trolled in anyway, (of course I know I obviously deserve to be banned) So my plea is this: Why would I get banned and not the Leona from game Game 1, The WW or Swain from Game 3, OR even the completely inting and trolling Varus top in Game 2. All of them were more toxic than I, legitimately trolling/ intentional feeding, and used degrading language against me. The N word was never used, thank god, as a half black male I would have instantly made a report earlier, so there is some justice there.

So I would say my final plea: a more in-depth, situational analysis of in game text, where if one person reports another for toxic/int/troll or whatever, there is ALSO an equal search into THEIR behavior in game as well. And before I become flooded by comments or replies about MY behavior, I have stated previously I 100% understand that I DESERVE the chat ban. I would just also like to equally pass justice along the chains so that this game, that I do like very dearly, can be reformed. Thank you for reading this far.

Threatening to troll is hardly better than doing it. Your team will no longer feel they can rely on you to play properly, and even if your actions aren't intentionally bad, since you said you were going to do it intentionally that's how they're going to feel about it. It's extremely frustrating.

And as LostFrost said, those players are responsible for their own behavior; your negative actions should not impact whether they will get punished or not. If they don't have a negative history then that's an important factor in whether or not they should be penalized.

Each person is responsible for their own behaviour. The chat log focuses on what you said because that's what you're accountable for. When others get punished, they get their chat only too.

Everyone is on a different side of the coin when it comes to being punished. You obviously have been toxic in numerous games hence why it finally caught up to you. With that said the Leona could have been their first game as a toxic person, or is just as worse as you. You have no way of knowing if they have been punished. Maybe they just got a 10 game chat restriction? Maybe they have been ban as well. Its impossible to tell unless you know this person and can contact them and ask.

So what you're really asking for is why certain players haven't been penalized, when you did, when multiple 'partie(s)' acted the same. consider this;

  • The system collects evidence & information about your previous offences. Sometimes the system chooses to be patient with you & lets you ramble for multiple games, sometimes it doesn't.

  • Some actions is worse than others. Calling people names has one value, threating to ruin the game has another value, ect. ect.

Let's say you've been behaving toxic for multiple games, this is the game the system had enough of you. What if those you believe deserve to be penalized haven't acted like you did for long enough/ been as toxic as you/ other reasons. **Why should you be allowed to be toxic for several games and be given multiple chances, while these you've mentioned should be given less chances? ** [zombie-brand-facepalm]

Maybe Leona was punished, or maybe she wasn't; you don't know. She might have a completely clean history and just flipped out in this game, and therefore have a strike on her record but no punishment, or maybe she was a consistently toxic person and got punished for the game. Maybe she's is a few games away from getting punished because of her consistently toxic behavior but your game didn't tip the scale for her. You just don't know, so don't assume that she was or was not punished.

People are punished from reviews of their games only. It wouldn't make sense to give higher precedence to punishing other people if they caused someone else to get punished. Wrongdoers will be punished in due time, and the system shouldn't accelerate their punishments just because someone else got punished in a game they were also toxic in.
