Harsher punishment for leavers/afkers in Ranked

I play mainly on NA servers and I'm usually mid plat/high gold over there,so I'm not used to seeing people rage quit in ranked that often. However on my EUNE account ''this one'' I just got placed in Bronze 5 after losing 8 of my provisionals,yes,hilarious I know and now that I'm trying to climb to at least gold or so from the lowest rank out there I've noticed a trend with people simply leaving the match after dying few times. From what I've seen this is incredibly common all the way from bronze to gold 3 or so and it got me wondering why does this keep happening. Aren't people getting banned quickly enough or something? From what I've heard people feel like they can just keep rage quitting with no issues since it usually takes at least 6 or so quits before you get reported often enough to get that whooping 24 hour ban or the automated system bans you. And then they just play games normally for a while before starting to rage quit again to avoid getting perma banned. I'd like to suggest permanent ban specifically for ranked mode after player abandons few matches,maybe 3 or so. Or at least one that lasts a month or entire season. They could still play unranked matches after the normal 24 hour ban is over thou. 24h ban is fine and dandy in quick play since it really has no meaning at all if someone leaves in quick play but since the ranked system is what it is making other players lose games and therefore LP just because of your little tantrum should have steep enough punishments for people to simply not do it. Also if you're a ragequitter then ranked isn't the place for you anyway so it's not like banning these players from ranked mode would harm anyone,even them.

I agree to an extent. I think a week punishment for afking is fair, as it is enough to fit the crime-indirectly fucking over 4 other peoples games. I am likewise in your situation, in bronze 5 (was silver 4) and people VERY FREQUENTLY afk, their reasoning? "There's nothing to lose"
