Champselect attitudes
I play lots of ranked and have currently gone from bronze to silver over around 100 games, a few things I deal with on champion select;
-The immediate argument and follow up threats to afk/feed to get someone to dodge. This is sometimes reinforced by troll picks. This sort of thing I assume is never punished.
-The guy that picks Singed, calmly tells chat "I'm proxying, which means I'm feeding, you've been warned" Fun and acceptable right? Well I've already dodged today, lets just hope he's joking.
-The guy who deliberately bans my pick intent, using the reasoning that he doesn't like playing with that champion. Okay, I'll just play my not main. But really this was done deliberate and my main I'm winning 66% with.
-"Please swap me roles" "No" "Ok I'm feeding/afk'ing" "Sure I'll swap you roles" This happens a pretty large amount of the time to
-This one really isn't punishable, but you'd be surprised how many people I lolking and find they are first time ranking a champion and from what I can tell in there ranked stats, do it all the time. Like 1 win or 1 loss on every champion in the game.
The Bronze/Silver community folks. This happens a lot. When you are trying to get out of the basement, you have to win these games somehow. I sit here, I pick sup, I know it's gonna be a bumpy 45 minutes. It's fine though because the other team has them too right? It seems it's becoming a game of who has them and who doesn't, and not some fair, ideal, game.
While I know it's been said before, how about some stuff I deal with in game? I'm winning better than 2/3's of my games right now, at support most of the time. I wish I had the statistic on how often my losses happen to be hand in hand with issues mentioned above in champion select with the losses I also have in games where I have a DC on load, an afk at 20+ minutes, or someone who is feeding (and I mean like 'I'm having a bad game 0/7 at 15 min") or trolling. I'm sure it would look like you have to win every game that doesn't have an issue like those mentioned above and not like 10 players of fair and equal skill trying to play the game of checkers or paper/rock/scissors.
At the end of the day, I'm playing this game to have the genuine, ideal, games that I watch on Youtube or other outlets and it's just not there. It's been more about "Who has the team with people trying to move up, and who has the feeder/afk/tilting/raging player who is gonna throw the whole thing at champselect or in the first 5 minutes."
Is there a plan to police champion select at least? It just feels time to find a new outlet, even wins aren't fun.
